Mom,
I know you're worried, but everything has been fine. Seriously. I haven't so much as looked at Blood since I took the antidote. In fact, I've been thinking of following in your footsteps and getting back into music. I was hoping that it would be a good distraction, to channel my energy into something other than chems. Besides, busking could bring home a bit of income for me.
Regardless of what dad says, I'm not coming home. I made my decision. There's nothing for me in Appalachia. AC is and has always been my home. I'm sorry, but you and dad had SO many chances to make things right, and you never did.
Despite all this, I still love you. Even though I probably shouldn't.
