Last words is a paper note in Fallout 76.

The note can be found on the corpse of a settler during the Revenge For a Settler random encounter. Reading it will begin a miscellaneous quest to take revenge on the settler's behalf and clear out a random location of hostiles.

To anyone who reads this, my group was ambushed while traveling past <Alias=Dungeon>. I managed to get away but all my friends were torn apart. I'm ashamed of this, but I was too afraid to help them then and I'm too afraid to take vengeance now. Please, if you could avenge my friends... well I can't give you anything but just know I'd appreciate it.

- The miscellaneous quest started by this note rewards 20 caps and variable XP.
- As of the Wastelanders update, the associated miscellaneous quest can lead to the Blood Eagles, Cult of the Mothman or another faction introduced in the update.
- The note is not considered a quest item, and can be dropped while the miscellaneous quest is active, but it is still removed from the player character's inventory after the quest is completed.
