Petty Officer[1] Shortsight is a character in the Fallout TV series.

Shortsight is a member of the Brotherhood of Steel at their camp somewhere on the West Coast in 2296.

The End[]
Shortsight was one of the officers present when they received their Brotherhood chapter's mission to apprehend Siggi Wilzig. He fetches Dane, presumably to have their superiors inform them that they will be Knight Titus' squire. After Squire Dane's maiming, Petty Officer Shortsight escorts Maximus to a vertibird, where he is to be interrogated by Elder Cleric Quintus and a Brotherhood knight who intimidates Maximus to speak truthfully. After Maximus is cleared of all charges, Maximus becomes Knight Titus' squire in Dane's place. As Quintus briefs the Brotherhood's knights and the squires of their mission to recover Siggi Wilzig, Shortsight nudges Thaddeus and an aspirant who were distracted in their duties of handing out pictures of the search parties' targets.
The Head[]
After Maximus' confrontation with The Ghoul, Maximus's power armor is damaged. He tows his power armor to a nearby stand. As he is checking its condition (finding a damaged component while doing so), Petty Officer Shortsight talks over the radio, attempting to check up on Knight Titus' condition after having missed a check-in. Maximus deepens his voice and pretends to be Knight Titus. He lies to the Brotherhood by telling them that the squire assigned to him (Maximus) had died while in a confrontation with an "abomination"; however, his plan goes wrong as the other party suggests sending a replacement squire. Maximus tries to convince them not to send one, as this would blow his cover. After failing to convince the Brotherhood not to deliver a replacement squire, Maximus intentionally destroys the power armor's radio to cut off communications with the Brotherhood.
The Beginning[]
Petty Officer Shortsight is part of the main assault force sent to capture Griffith Observatory. He is part of the first Brotherhood group that makes it inside the observatory building alongside Maximus, three knights, and at least seven others. He is present when they are attacked by the Ghoul, who removes the area's fusion core to disable the lights and exploits a flaw in the chest plating of the T-60 power armor to briefly incapacitate one of the knights, stunning everyone else present. The Ghoul then disables the area's lights and takes advantage of the ensuing chaos to shoot the knights and the other soldiers numerous times. Partway into the skirmish, Shortsight is seen being shot in the chest, after which the Ghoul is then seen killing a knight with a hand grenade. The rest of the group's fate, apart from Maximus, remains unknown.[2]
Personality[]
Shortsight seems like a disciplinarian to his subordinates and thinks that squires are easily replaceable since they have plenty of squires.

The surviving five unarmored soldiers, including Maximus can be seen at ~42:45. Shortsight is not among them, indicating the man shot 10 seconds earlier was indeed him.
