Sheriff Troy: Destroying a legitimate business? That's illegal round these parts.

The Ghoul: Says who?

Sheriff Troy: The government.
— "The Trap"

The GovermintIn-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar is a faction in the Fallout TV series.

Background[]

The so-called "Govermint" is little more than a gang of thugs led by Sorrel Booker, the self-proclaimed "president," pretending to a position of authority over the Los Angeles wastes. His subordinates include several "sheriffs," such as Troy and Rex.

It is unknown what kind of activities the Govermint conducts. However, they are known to operate at least one protection racket for the organ harvesting business set up at the local Super Duper Mart. They also appear to hold bounties on people who they deem criminals, as shown by the posters in their HQ. One of them was the leader of the NCR Remnants at the Griffith Observatory, Lee Moldaver, who Booker considered a 'mad woman'.

The Trap[]

A group of sheriffs, including Sheriff Rex and led by Sheriff Troy, go to the Super Duper Mart. There, they discover that both of the organ harvesters were killed, the captured ghouls were freed, and the Ghoul is passed out on the floor. From their observation, they mistakenly assume that he's responsible while it was actually Lucy MacLean who had already left.

Troy and Rex "arrest" the Ghoul and take him to the bar where Booker made his gang's headquarters. The Ghoul eventually retaliates and kills the sheriffs, then questions Booker about the identity of Lee Moldaver.

Appearances[]

The Govermint appears only in the Fallout TV series episode "The Trap."
