The Hollywood Sign was erected in 1923 on Mount Lee, originally spelled as "Hollywoodland." It has since become an iconic symbol of Hollywood. In the 21st century, with the corporate domination of the United States, the Nuka-Cola Corporation secured sponsorship of the sign in return for a giant "Sponsored by Nuka-Cola" subtitle erected just below the sign itself.[1]
