Visit Vault 33 NOW! is an interactive promotional site for the Fallout TV series hosted on Amazon.com, released alongside the show on April 10, 2024. A direct link to the site is here, though it can be also accessed from the Amazon page for Fallout Season 1.

Overview[]

The site features an interactive tour of parts of Vault 33. Upon entering the site, the first room shown is a Vault residence, while a green button in the bottom right corner leads out into a Vault hallway with a door at the end numbered 728 and marked "EXIT TO WASTELAND." Prior to April 18th, 2024, clicking on this door would only play a video teasing more to come and returning to the hallway screen. After April 18th, a new section was added to the site; using the door leads into the wasteland, with a video showing Lucy traveling to Filly. From here, another gear button on the side leads into a screen for Ma June's Sundries. A dropdown menu was also added to the top left corner to navigate between all the screens.

Many items seen in these screens are interactable, and will reveal text boxes, images, and/or videos. Most, but not all, of the interactable objects are highlighted in green on mouseover; those that are not highlighted will be marked as interactable by the cursor becoming full green instead of transparent green.

In the top right corner, the site contains links to a catalog of McFarlane action figures of the Fallout protagonists via the "Equip the Vault" button, as well as another button under it labeled "Win 200 years of free stuff" linking to a description of Amazon Prime's promotional Fallout prize giveaways.

The site also features four songs that can be played on repeat:

Of the interactables, a notable object is a terminal in the residence that, when interacted with, displays a maintenance screen marked with a countdown of "[X] Days," beginning at 7. This countdown has since concluded as of April 17, 2024, with the terminal instead displaying a "rebuilding database" screen with the progress at 30% (as of April 18th).

The Great War

Transcript

Global thermonuclear war both began and ended in the span of about two hours on Saturday, October 23, 2077. Billions died, world governments and economies collapsed into non-existence, and the climate was ravaged leading to permanent changes to the global ecosystem according to our readings. It is the duty of those of us in Vaults to keep the hope of a future alive. Because once the surface is safe to repopulate, we need Americans just like you to build a better world.

Every corporation needs iconography, and smart corporations give a smiling face to their brand. Nuka-Cola had Nuka-Girl, and Vault-Tec has Vault Boy. Vault Boy’s smiling face appeared in everything from advertisements to training materials and even holotape games. Voted “world’s sexiest man” in 2077, Vault Boy’s strong back helped to lift Vault-Tec's public perception high into favorability prior to the Great War.

On the Radio

Item 13 of 17; interact with the radio in the entrance part of Ma June's shop.

Transcript

Few folks outside a Vault have access to a record player, let alone any vinyl that’ll actually play. So most wastelanders get their tunes — and their news — from the radio. There were plenty of radio stations with functioning antennas still standing after the War, so just about everywhere you go there’s some local broadcasters spinning their favorite tunes. No matter your tastes, you’ll likely find a station for you. Even if you’re one of those weirdos that listens to KPSS.

Transcript

Every town has traders, or at the least a caravan that comes through on the regular. Not even the Great War could stop commerce. Whether you need a new gun, some ammo, a few cans of Cram, or a new Vault Boy bobblehead to decorate your abode, you’re bound to find what you need — provided you have the caps.

Stimpaks

Item 15 of 17; interact with the wooden box in the interior part of Ma June's shop.

Transcript

Stimpaks are one of the great marvels of pre-War science. These pre-dosed syringes are loaded with a cocktail of stimulants and healing agents designed to boost your body’s natural healing abilities, often leading to a near instantaneous mending of wounds. They’re a miracle, but they aren’t cheap.

Caps

Item 16 of 17; interact with the red toy car in the display case in the interior part of Ma June's shop.

Transcript

Forget the NCR dollarcaps are the only currency guaranteed to spend everywhere you go. Nothing beats the jingle jangle of a pocket full of caps. Just don’t let those pockets jingle too loud, or you just might find yourself losing all those precious caps to someone who won’t think twice about putting a bullet in your brain to get ‘em.

Hygiene[]

Visit Vault 33 Now - Hygene

Hygiene

Item 17 of 17; interact with the Mister Handy poster in the interior part of Ma June's shop.

Transcript

Most folks these days don’t have the benefit of a Mister Handy to keep their place clean, and even things folks used to take for granted before the War — like clean running water — aren’t too common. If you’re lucky, you’ll find yourself in a town with a dentist or a barber or a doctor… or maybe even someone who’s all three! And hey, if you find yourself strapped for caps, you can always sell some teeth. No one needs a whole mouthful of ‘em anyway!

Notes[]

  • On this site, the inter-Vault trading and marriages between Vaults 31, 32, and 33 are referred to as tri-annual (i.e. three times per year). However, all text in the show refers to this as a Triennial Trade (i.e. once per three years). The latter definition is more likely to be correct given the context of Vault 33 being apparently unaware that Vault 32 had failed two years before the start of the show.
  • On the site, and elsewhere on the Amazon Fallout page, Lucy and Steph are said to belong to the "Young Piker's Association." This is possibly a erroneous transcription of the "Young Pipefitter's Association" which Lucy talks about (and is seen working in alongside Steph) in "The End."
  • The terminal is a Wang Computer 2246-C, the same model used in the show. However, in the show, the Wang logo is covered up with a RobCo logo. This is absent in the website, being simply a Wang computer, with a RobCo operating system. This was most likely an oversight from the website developers.
