KPSS is a radio station located at the base of Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, on a forested hill surrounded by the desert.

The sole occupant of KPSS is DJ Carl, who occupies the small radio broadcast complex with a large collection of vintage music, particularly fiddle music. Carl doesn't take visitors at the station, with an array of oversized booby traps surrounding the main building to ensure anyone looking to place a request would sooner have an arrow placed in their neck.[1] The station is littered with the remains of "critics", people who have tried and failed to take Carl off the air (or at least change up his tracklist) in the past.[2]
In 2297, Thaddeus used the radio tower at the KPSS station to message for a pickup by the Brotherhood of Steel after he obtained Siggi Wilzig's head.
