When Lucy MacLean enters Ma June's Sundries and starts a conversation with Ma June, she laughs at Lucy for being a genuine Vault Dweller and calls Barv to see Lucy. As Lucy tries to describe a person she's after, Ma June calls Barv's name, with each sequential time being louder and louder. However, when Barv finally appears from a doorway in a different room with a cigar in her mouth, Ma June demands that she leave after learning Lucy was after Lee Moldaver. Barv scoffs and then heads back into her room.[1]
Afterward, Barv lays on her bed smoking her cigar with an open can of beans until Ma June comes in alongside Lucy as they struggle to carry Siggi Wilzig, who is missing his left foot. Ma June demands that Barv fetch a new foot; Barv complains about trying to eat her beans, but capitulates.[1]
As Wilzig sits on a chair, Ma June rests his leg on the table and demands that Barv fetch the new foot. Barv retorts that she's looking for it, and Ma June informs her that there's a whole crate of them underneath the box of the defibrillators. To that revelation, Barv complains that Ma June keeps moving things around without telling her beforehand.[1]
Right after Lucy asks if the person outside was a Knight, Ma June screams for Barv, who appears to be carrying the crate she asked for. Barv also claims that it wasn't underneath the defibrillators like Ma June said they were. Ma June then apologizes for yelling and blames the pain after being shot in the leg as the cause for her temper. On the other hand, Barv brushes it off, claiming she'd yell at her either way, and leaves the scene.[1]
Personality[]
Barv presents herself as even-tempered, a stark contrast to Ma June, who always lets her emotions get the better of her. She also is never afraid to speak her mind whenever appropriate.
