The many unnamed Vault 33 dwellers are residents of Vault 33 in the Fallout TV series.

Background[]

The people of Vault 33 have maintained a quiet, organized meritocracy for over two hundred years. To maintain genetic diversity, they occasionally engage in an exchange of dwellers with Vault 32 and Vault 31, all of which are connected by a seldom-used triangular tunnel.

They grow their food in a large hydroponic chamber, where wall projectors create the illusion of open farmland. This farm also functions as their major social and ceremonial space.

Due to the small scale of their society, the women of Vault 33 share a single traditional wedding dress. The name of each bride is written on the inside. Their wedding ceremonies are performed by a priest, who wears a plain blue-and-yellow cloth robe.

The End[]

During Lucy MacLean's monologue about her proposal to be accepted in the Triennial Trade with Vault 32, various Vault 33 dwellers are seen going about their daily lives. Ultimately, the Vault 33 council would accept her proposal, and the Vault 33 dwellers would prepare for Lucy's wedding with the candidate from Vault 32.

After putting on her wedding dress, Lucy sees how her father Hank MacLean and the other Vault 33 dwellers prepare for his big day. She'd then talk to her father until Betty Pearson informs them it's time, and the Vault 33 dwellers would go to the Vault 32 door, where the Vault 33 dwellers waited to meet with the Vault 32 dwellers.

Chet hesitates to open the door out of emotionality. The door soon opens, and the dwellers greet their Vault 32 counterparts. There, Lucy meets her husband-to-be, Monty. Afterward, the wedding ceremony is held, and the dwellers eat and later dance together.

Lucy returns to her quarters with her new husband, only to realize that he is actually a raider from the surface. At the same time, the remaining Vault 32 Dwellers, now revealed to have been surface raiders, attack and kill most of the Vault 33 dwellers. During the attack, Steph Harper loses her husband Bert, as well as her right eye.

Rescuing his daughter from Monty, Hank receives a signal that the intervault door was breached. Hence, he and Lucy rush over to investigate and find several Vault 33 dwellers, including Steph and Chet, who were taken hostage by the fake Vault 32 Overseer, Lee Moldaver. In exchange for releasing the Vault 33 dwellers' hostages, Hank surrenders himself to Moldaver and her accomplices.

The next morning, some Vault 33 dwellers clean up the bloody mess of the Vault 32 raiders' attack.

During the assembly with most surviving Vault 33 dwellers, Lucy proposes that a search party go to the surface to find and locate her kidnapped father, Hank. However, the Vault 33 Council dismisses her suggestion, and Lucy leaves as the assembly continues.

The Head[]

Eventually, a meeting with all of the Vault 33 dwellers is held, mainly headed by council members Woody Thomas and Reg McPhee. The meeting topic was what to do with the sixteen raiders locked away in the repurposed reading room. It's proposed that the raiders be educated as a way for them to be repurposed into the Vault life. Suggestions are given on educating the raiders, such as teaching them theatrical arts, philosophies, or calculus.

A scoff from Norm alerts the council members, who ask if Norm has a suggestion, and he suggests that they kill the raiders because they murdered their fellow Vault 33 dwellers. Norm's proposal is met with immediate scorn and disdain by his fellow Vault 33 dwellers. However, the meeting derails when the Vault 33 engineer announces that the Water chip was destroyed during the raider attack and that there's likely two months' worth of water left. The announcement caused the meeting to be abruptly adjourned.

The Ghouls[]

Outside in the home hallway, a Vault 33 dweller was seen sitting on a chair as another Vault 33 dweller delivered mail. Norm would later pass by one carrying a box filled with personal possessions when he was going to visit Chet in his room.

The Past[]

After they explored Vault 32, Norm and Chet passed by several Vault 33 dwellers in the recreation area, where Betty met them, who asked where they'd been.

On the day of the Vault 33 Overseer election, the Vault 33 dwellers get in line to vote for whom they've decided to elect as their new Overseer.

Ultimately, the majority of Vault 33 dwellers vote for Betty, and a party is held in her honor for the occasion. The cake is cut and passed around during the party for the Vault 33 dwellers to enjoy.

Sometime after being inaugurated as Vault 33 Overseer, Betty holds an open tour of Vault 32 and consecutively announces that select Vault 33 dwellers will be transferred to Vault 32.

The Radio[]

Immediately after the discovery of the dead Vault 32 raiders, Betty sends out a Pip-Boy message to all of the Vault 33 dwellers on who will be transferred to Vault 32 or not. Of the ones who would be staying in Vault 33 were Norm and Reg.

When Norm visits Chet's room, he passes by another Vault 33 dweller carrying a box of possessions.

Afterward, some Vault 33 dwellers see off the newly appointed Vault 32 dwellers as they're transferred to their new Vault.

Appearances[]

Vault 33 dwellers appear in the Fallout TV series episodes "The End," "The Head," "The Ghouls," "The Past," and "The Radio."

Behind the scenes[]

The only performer credited for playing a Vault 33 dweller is actress C. Hope Belmont, who has a brief speaking role in "The Head." Another Vault 33 dweller actor (who says he wants to teach the raiders calculus) remains uncredited despite having a speaking role in the same episode.

All of the other unnamed dwellers are played by various stunt performers and uncredited extras; a list is below.
