Blake's Offering is a location in the Mire region of Appalachia. It is located east of KMAX Transmission.
Layout[]
This site consists of defensive structures surrounding a Cult of the Mothman totem. A cooking station can be found under a fallen tree just to the east of the totem, and a bonfire is nestled in the clearing past it. Cultists worship variously at altars throughout.
A smaller totem rests inside of a tent fashioned from a large ribcage. A large mutant skull is affixed at the base of the spine, with candles in its eyes. Across the camp, an experimental structure is being wrought from strangler vines near a chair. Nearby, wooden stairs lean up to a lookout balcony rested in the bough of a tree, where wind chimes have been hung from a strangler vine immediately next to a folding chair. A lookout may be sitting here, possibly dead.
During the ally quest Exit Sage Left, Beckett's friend Sage can be found to the southwest of the totem.
Notable loot[]
- Beckon the call - Note, on a suitcase just outside the main area.
- Chapter 8 - Holotape, on a coffee table in a shack.
Notes[]
- The identity of the "Blake" who gave this shrine its name is unspecified.
- The shrine was founded mere yards up the road from KMAX Transmission, a radio station whose pre-War host was a conspiracy theorist interested in Mothman.[1]
- The radio station was affiliated with VTU.[1] A man named Michael Blake prominently worked at VTU.
Appearances[]
Blake's Offering appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wastelanders update.
Behind the scenes[]
- Level designer Craig Bernardo worked on this location's design and creation.[2]
- In a previous (non-canon) Fallout game, the name Blake was used as a direct invocation of the poet William Blake. However, the poem found at Blake's Offering, Beckon the call, does not appear to allude to Blakean cosmology or theming.
