The Flatwoods River is an unmarked location in Appalachia.

Background[]

Traversing the town of Flatwoods, the namesake river was the subject of anticipated water contaminant testing led by Kesha McDermott. Her research focused on monitoring water safety protocols in Flatwoods and conducting hydrology experiments.[1] Her work led her to the banks of the shallow river, where her remains can be found along with a water testing kit.[1]

Layout[]

The river begins at the convergence with the dry bed of New River, heading northbound through the town of Flatwoods. Several makeshift campsites line the shore.[2]

Appearances[]

The Flatwoods River appears only in Fallout 76.
