Jimmy's well is a location in the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas.
Layout[]
If Wild Wasteland is an active trait and Rex is an active companion, he will have a random chance of having a unique dialogue option where the player character can ask him if he knows about a boy is in a well. Rex will respond by barking and a marker will be placed on the map.
Situated just south of Fields' shack, to the west of Nellis Air Force Base, just under the large overpass, upon entering the well, along with a living mole rat, one will find a small, child-sized skeleton.
Notable loot[]
- Abilene Kid LE BB gun - a unique variant of the BB gun, found in the well. Alternatively obtained from Fields' shack if Wild Wasteland is not an active trait.
Notes[]
The well does not spawn on the map until the conversation with Rex about Jimmy's well is initiated. If the player is standing right next to where it is supposed be before triggering the special dialogues, the well will spawn immediately after the map marker is added on the map. This is similar to the case with Ranger Morales' corpse during A Final Plan for Esteban.

Jimmy's well appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
Behind the scenes[]
- The dialogue with Rex mentioning a boy named Jimmy falling into a well and the location itself are references to the television show Lassie.
- A similar series of events takes place in Fallout 2. In Modoc, a boy named Jonny is missing. His dog will indicate that the Chosen One should look in the town well. After climbing down into the well, Jonny's BB gun can be found in the northern portion of the tunnels. Jonny himself, however, has been captured by the Slags and can be found in their underground cistern.
