The radium rifle is a ranged weapon in Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

A pre-War carbine upgraded to fire irradiated rounds. Prior to an update, the radiation damage was handled separately from its base damage and therefore could not be enhanced. This is no longer the case, as all nonstandard forms of damage are now handled with base damage.

Notes[]

  • Prior to patch 40, the radium rifle was classified as both an energy and ballistic weapon, allowing it to benefit or suffer from energy weapon buffs and debuffs. As of Patch 40, the energy keyword was removed, allowing the weapon to drop with the explosive legendary effect for the first time since Patch 5.
  • The model for the suppressor modification is incorrectly inscribed with text reading "12 Gauge" even though this weapon is not a shotgun.
  • The "long" barrel modifications do not actually increase the length of the rifle's barrel but instead fix a foil dish to it.
  • Prior to patch 1.7.2.18, the radium rifle's learn rate for its modifications was very low at 0.45% or 0.65% each time a player scrapped a radium rifle.
