The alien blaster is a ranged weapon in Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

The alien blaster is a powerful energy pistol. The weapon is made primarily of a steel-like metal, with orange and red furniture resembling plastic, and highlights of pulsing blue energy. On the side is a blue ringed cap, which flips open so ammo may be inserted. Its design eschews a traditional barrel or front sight. A scope may be affixed to the top.

It was impractical for regular use due to the rarity of alien blaster rounds before the Invaders from Beyond update. At the cost of damage output and ammo capacity, a fusion mag can convert the weapon to shoot the more common fusion cells.

  • The Rusty Pick - although not available through her randomized inventories, an unobtainable version of the alien blaster may be found among Purveyor Murmrgh's decorative inventory.

Changelog[]

  • Prior to One Wasteland For All, the alien blaster provided the damages of 15, 19, 22 and 25 at levels 20, 30, 40, and 50; respectively.
  • Prior to patch 30, alien blaster rounds would not drop as contextual ammo from Daily Ops while using the standard magazine.
  • As of patch 40, the short night vision scope modification remains officially cut from the game.
  • In patch 1.7.12.10, the alien blaster's damage was increased from 20/25/29/32 to 24/28/32/37 at levels 20, 30, 40, and 50.

Bugs[]

  • PCPC Xbox OneXbox One Playstation 4Playstation 4 The poison & cryo mags an explosion to the blaster's projectile that deals 100% of the weapon's damage, instead of the intended 20%[1][patched]
