The machete is a melee weapon in Fallout 76.

The machete is a melee weapon with a moderately rusted broad blade and a wooden grip wrapped in tape. It is likely the first weapon that the player will acquire especially before the Wastelanders update where it would be found on a dead body outside of Vault 76.

- A machete used to be found on a corpse outside of Vault 76, just down the stairs from Pennington. This was later changed to being given by Lacey Drummond and Isela Mejia after the release of Wastelanders by inquiring if they have a spare weapon.
- One can be found on the upstairs bed of the house at the Landview Lighthouse.
- One can be found on the table with a radstag head near the cooking station at Hunter's Ridge.
- One can be found on a coffee table in the tallest building at the abandoned Bog Town.
- One can be found on a lower bunk bed at the Groves family cabin.
- One can be found in a storm drain to the north of the Silva homestead, next to a cooler and headless skeleton.
- Scorched are commonly found wielding this weapon, or have it in their inventory.

After the Wastelanders update, it can be given by Lacey Drummond and Isela Mejia if one doesn't have a Charisma of 2+ for the pipe revolver.
