Mire's Eye, previously known as the mirelurk den, is a location in the Mire region of Appalachia in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: Atlantic City update part one, Boardwalk Paradise. To reach the location, head far northeast of Freddy Fear's House of Scares, and follow the river north. Turn east from a pond area with several brain fungi to find a red door leading to the den.

Layout[]
Mire's Eye is on the far northeast edge of the map, north of Freddy Fear's House of Scares and east of an unmarked pond with brain fungi. After going through the door, the player enters from the southern direction. In the center of the den is a dead mirelurk queen, strung up on display by the Blood Eagles, who occupy this location. To the east is an area with wooden fortifications, as well as crates, bedding and a rack for fish. To the west are some elevated platforms with cooking equipment. To the north is an equipment and storage area with two caged cells. A power armored Blood Eagle is found here. Against the stone wall in this area is a button which opens the wall to reveal a secret compartment. It opens to a cave area that acts as an armory, with many weapons and ammo boxes found inside.

- Mirelurk Medley - Note, on a table next to a large skewer in the cooking area.
- At least 16 glowing fungi, including two at the exterior entrance and 14 in the interior itself.

Behind the scenes[]
This location was initially added to the game's files with the Steel Dawn update, but was not implemented and was left as unused content. In the files, it was known as the raider den. It was not added to the live game map until Boardwalk Paradise, as an unmarked location known as the mirelurk den. It shared this distinction with the deserted mine. With the following America's Playground update, the location was given a map marker and renamed to Mire's Eye.
