Kanawha National Park is a location in Appalachia.

Background[]

The national park was a vast forest and recreational area in what would eventually become the Cranberry Bog. One of the ranger offices in the park was attended by two National Park Service rangers, who differed in opinion regarding how best to administrate the day to day business. They clashed with regards to what their role as park rangers were and what sort of damage was being done to the park and the local beaver population by visitors. In particular, one refused to sign off on hunting permits because he believed the local beaver population was on the verge of collapse.[1]

Layout[]
