“In the Savage Divide, right? Oh man, when I heard about it, I thought the house was like, a giant pumpkin. Nope, turns out it's an ordinary house. A lot of pumpkins around it though.”— Sam Nguyen
Pumpkin House is a location in the Savage Divide region of Appalachia.
Background[]
The tourist destination began with only four pumpkins carved for a Halloween display in 1978. Over the next hundred years, this number has grown to three hundred.[1] The landmark would later become automated, its proprietors installing the Mister Handy Jack O' Lantern. It continues to operate the facility well into 2103.
Layout[]
The site contains the two-story main house and a small garage. The garage holds a weapons workbench inside and various loot for scrapping, along with a water pump immediately behind the garage. There is the body of a dead raider near the pump that contains random loot.
Notable loot[]
- Pumpkin carving automation notes - Note, on the second floor, on top of a dresser.
- Halloween costume skull - On the porch, on the skull of the skeleton sitting in the wheelchair.
- Halloween costume witch hat - On the second floor, on a shelf beside the bed.
- Recipe: Pumpkin pie - In the kitchen, on the counter.
- Pumpkin grenade - Crafting of pumpkin grenades is unlocked by completing the quest Trick or Treat?
Appearances[]
The Pumpkin House appears only in Fallout 76.
Behind the scenes[]
- Level designer Craig Bernardo worked on this location's design and creation.[2]
- The Pumpkin House is based on the real world Kenova's Pumpkin House, located in Kenova, West Virginia,[3] which is listed on the U.S. Department of the Interior's National Register of Historic Places as the Joseph S. Miller House.
