You're so sneaky that you can sneak even with your Pip-Boy light on! Any time the Pip-Boy light is on, you gain a sneak bonus to offset the light's sneak penalty.— In-game description

Broad Daylight is a perk in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road.

Effects[]

Taking this perk attempts(Note) to offset the penalty against one's chance of detection when sneaking while the Pip-Boy light is on by adding 15 temporary skill points to the sneak skill.

Notes[]

  • ^ (Note) Because of how sneak is calculated, the player's sneak skill always caps at 100 and cannot go over making this perk useless if one's sneak skill is already at 100. For sneak below 100, the benefit is marginal and it would be optimal to just have the Pip-Boy light off as a 15 point sneak buff does not offset the penalty for having the Pip-Boy light on.
  • When attempting to sneak out in the daylight with low sneak in the Mojave Wasteland where the environment light outweighs the Pip-Boy light for detection, Broad Daylight actually makes turning on the Pip-Boy light a benefit, but this is also only a marginal benefit.
  • The perk also affects the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion's light.
