Scribe Assistant is a companion perk in Fallout: New Vegas.
Requirements[]
Gaining Veronica Santangelo as a companion requires traveling to the 188 trading post and talking to her.
Note: If one has previously destroyed the Hidden Valley bunker and/or killed all the members of the Mojave Brotherhood (possibly as part of some main quests), choosing the dialogue option to tell Veronica as such will turn her hostile. She will also leave the party if the player character gains a Vilified reputation with the Brotherhood.

When Veronica is an active companion, the player character gains a dialogue option with her that essentially allows her to act as a mobile workbench.
Notes[]
- The same skill and item requirements for completing recipes apply as at a normal workbench.
- It is the only companion perk that requires actively speaking to the companion to use.
- The perk is useful for a player character focused on Energy Weapons as with Veronica, one can quickly recycle drained cells in the field for small ammo resupplies.
- With the Lonesome Road add-on installed, the perk's usefulness is somewhat negated by the add-on granting a similar function to ED-E along with a sister function that lets him serve as a mobile reloading bench, giving him utility to a Guns-focused character. That said, the process of using the crafting interface for multiple items is faster with Veronica, as one merely returns to Veronica's dialogue tree after each craft, whereas ED-E completely exits dialogue, requiring the player to access the companion wheel again.
