Comprehension is a perk in Fallout: New Vegas.

Taking this perk grants an additional skill point when reading a skill book (for a total of 4 instead of 3) and doubles the temporary skill increase from skill magazines (for a total of 20 instead of 10).

- There are 53 skill books in the base game, 65 with Dead Money, and up to 73 with Honest Hearts (if one is patient enough to reload many saves outside caves containing a workbench crate). With the Old World Blues add-on, one can find recipes for making 1 additional skill book per skill (13), and two world placed Sneak books, and 1 Science book. With Lonesome Road there is a skill book for each skill, bringing the total to 102. As in all other instances of the Comprehension perk, it will not affect books and magazines read prior to selecting this perk.
