Background [ ] The Black Knight has existed in the game files since the launch period of Fallout 76 . Functionally it is a cosmetic reskin of the standard hunting rifle . The "ATX" reference in the editor ID indicates that this may have been intended to appear in the Atomic Shop .

In early PC versions of Fallout 76 , some were obtained in 2018 by players who accessed developer cells using exploits.
Unlike most illegitimate weapons, they still exist, and still function. These cosmetic legacy items offer no advantage or utility over a normal hunting rifle, and have limited modification options.
