Komend jaar[]

Jammer dat je stopt voor zeker een jaar maar ik begrijp het, wat je gaat doen gaat altijd voor. Waar en wat ga je studeren als ik vragen mag? I'm not sure if you saw the message on my talkpage from yesterday about activity in chat. I did pop in, but my anxiety is getting the better of me at the moment so didn't stay long. By the time I popped in there was nothing for me to see and knowing you, it wouldn't be the worst language in the world.

Had a quick word with Distusting and from what I understand (and suspected) no big issue. Besides I wasn't there so I can't act on it, plus if Gunny had seen something he would have reacted.

All I'm going to say is just be deadpan specific with him in future and see if it helps with general interaction. it may well be the case he is misinterpreting what was said.

I know you handle your rights with diligence and with the utmost care, when someone passes something like this my way I'd rather ask a couple of questions and see what answers come back. Besides, as you said, if you had too much to drink to be handling rights you'd just bring Lucy in. I've seen that often enough to know how responsible you really are. Post of the month[]

Fingers crossed it does what I want it to do, push quality up. We have good users and their posts often get buried under spam and the like, so it might give incentive for people to think before posting and get talk going. It's better than going full on Draconian with the rules.

I'd considered being more specific, but decided against it. Discussions are still barely aware of existence, plus all rights holders can get involved on the voting, so hopefully Moderator's will one day be just that, moderators from all side. Big dreams I know.

All Hands Meeting[]

Okay, I think its clear that going ahead with a meeting is a good idea. At this stage I would like to open the floor to agenda items. We have the following things to discuss.

An update on any negotiations, and other actions
Possible action to progress our case further whilst staying on network
Possible engagement with Wikia on video in line with the proposed deal- if we should participate and whom that contact person should be.
Possible alternatives if the situation cannot be resolved.

Please let me know if you want anything added to the agenda here

I'll be asking a number of people to speak on certain issues, but as always there will be plenty of room for discussion.

I propose that the meeting be held at 3pm North American Eastern Time on Sunday 24 September, this should be 8pm in London, 9pm Central European time, and Midday North American Western. If there are any objections please note them below and we'll look into alternative scheduling, the more objections the harder we look for a new time.

We have arranged facilities for the meeting, it will be held online. It is open to all persons who have participated in any of the video discussion threads up to today, except those employed by Fandom/Wikia inc (as this is the Community's meeting), or have been employed by them in the recent past.

Votes taken in this meeting will be taken as consensus view of the wiki, so everyone is encouraged to attend.

We have setup a discord server (Nukapedia's Fallout Shelter) located here. It is mobile friendly (via an app) and is very flexible.

Nukapedia and Fandom/Wikia talks[]

Apologies for the impersonal nature of this message, as I'm relaying the same thing to admins and people who have previously expressed a view on featured video. Forgive me if I tell you some things you already know.

We have a call scheduled with Wikia this Friday. We need your input - and the input from as many others as possible. We're hoping to settle once and for all what our relationship is, if it can be salvaged, and what the future should be, as until we settle these featured video can't be settled.

Please, have a look at this forum and tell us what you think.

In addition to looking at our own future hosting option, we've also been in talks with other hosts. Included in these is Gamepedia/Curse. We have an ongoing dialogue with them, and if you have any questions about a possible unification to the vault, please do let me know and I'll relay any similar response we've had, and if your question is a first, I'll ask the question.

Hello fellow Patrons, and welcome to this week's edition of the Strategic Nuclear Moose (SNM) Sentinel, a Nukapedia Wiki News Digest (WND).

The SNM sentinel is a consistent Friday release, and will be covering everything from wiki-related news, geek culture, and community content established to help incentivize our incredibly hard working and devout editors, who certainly deserve a bit of recognition for their parts in improving and expanding this wiki and the community behind it.

For those that were not around during the Sentinel's origin days, the concept is a community driven one, affording opportunities for our fellow Patrons to contribute towards each edition. Interested in getting to know the community behind the SNM? Feel free to not only join us on our personal Discord here, but also the overall Nukapedia Discord here.

We now offer a newsletter iteration of the Sentinel for our Patrons to enjoy! Interested? Feel free to sign-up here, and reap the perks.
The Bank of the SNM is continually being updated, and right now I am currently working on getting our Virtual Store open and ready for business. Credits earned are already being documented through the bank as well, and hopefully by next week, the store will be open.
Starting as of next week, the SNM will finally be re-introducing the Patrons' Lounge, which is where members of the community here can become directly involved with our cantina, and host their ideas. Want to write polls? Start a writing competition? Role-play? Stream? We'll host ya, for all of those and more! Wiki News

A project currently in dire need of additional helpers, is the Behind the Scenes Speculation Project, which is seeking to both help verify and/or remove dubious information found across the wiki's article-space. Remember that once completed, all participants will receive an official Nukapedia badge of recognition to showcase on their profile, so get to work!
/d users will already be familiar with the Trending Today community feature, detailing events around the Discussions section of Nukapedia. TT is now making an appearance on the wiki itself, providing an archive of all prior and current releases! Make sure to check em out and show your support.

Geek-culture News

Titanfall was strictly a multiplayer game, with a heavy emphasis on balance between face-paced gameplay, and memorable mech fights that quickly launched the game into the competitive gaming scene. Titanfall 2 took this step further by introducing a campaign mode which was a welcome gesture by the fan-base.
1. However, it appears that Titanfall 3 was cancelled. But don't fret, because EA has released Apex Legends instead, which is essentially a Battle Royale mode of Titanfall, meant to directly compete with other major titles such as Fortnite. This goal has readily been met, with 10 million players having been reached within 3 days after launch!
For those of you playing on your Nintendo Switch (I know I am), you may have noticed that the console system has been lacking a feature that most if not all of its competitors have already been offering for quite some time... voice chat. This has now been amended, so get to chatting away with all of your Switch friends! I know I'll be more than happy to roast my friends after a good Super Smash Brothers beat-down.
According to a leaked message, the popular Machinima Youtube channel, owned by AT&T, experienced a 10% lay-off all across the board, as well as a privatization of all of its videos, rendering them unavailable to the general public. Does this mean that Machinima is about to be phased out? Or do these moves foreshadow a brand restructuring?
2K Interactive Software recently acquired Michael Condrey, a prevalent hand in the creation of hit games such as Dead Space and many Call of Duty games. He has joined the company as their new president, and has subsequently opened a new 2K studio based out of Silicon Valley, working on a currently unknown new I.P. Make sure to keep your eyes open on this development, and expect something interesting to come out of this new studio as they mature among the development community.
As discovered through Reddit, Sony has obtained a new patent suggesting their experimentation into full backwards compatibility in their upcoming PS5 technology.
Riot Games, the development studio behind League of Legends, has formed a partnership with the mental health organization known as Active Minds, This partnership is currently established for a year, and this year will be used to raise awareness towards myriad of mental health issues. Samus fans have been waiting for some time now for a new Metroid Prime game, with Metroid Prime: Federation Force being a huge disappointment for the fan-base. Metroid Prime 4, a Switch exclusive, has been confirmed to be in development hell, and has been set back as the team essentially restarts the project from scratch. What does this mean? I imagine it might be best if we don't expect a true sequel to the Prime series anytime in the near future.

The SNM sentinel is a consistent Friday release, and will be covering everything from wiki-related news, geek culture, and community content established to help incentivize our incredibly hard working and devout editors, who certainly deserve a bit of recognition for their parts in improving and expanding this wiki and the community behind it.

The Bank of the SNM's virtual store is finally opening this Sunday, so make sure to start saving up your Credits!
Also opening up tomorrow, is the Patrons' Lounge, where members of the SNM community can get together to showcase their unique ideas. Our opening personalities will be:
1. Salt Lake City: A fan-fic going into the events of the Vault 51 dwellers, who left the comforts of their metallic home, and re-founded Salt Lake City.
2. Ask Marcus: Marcus is the super mutant to see for all philosophical insight needed regarding the Fallout universe.
3. Brotherhood of Steel: The first SNM faction that will be introduced, the BoS are a techno-fascist cult worshipping any and all technology that can be used to further advance the human race. Complete missions to rank up throughout the BoS, earning unique perks while progressing up the leaderboard, competing with your other fellow recruits.
Gizmo's Workshop will have a late release, being moved to later today, instead, and will be covering the Sim Settlements mod for Fallout 4. Next week's edition will be released as normal on Wednesday.
The first edition of the Proving Grounds was released a short while ago, which provides both a deathmatch arena feature, and a mentorship program that will be used to acclimate newer editors to the Nukapedian world of editing. The Skuz Pitt feature will be updating every Monday, so make sure to vote for your favourite contestants!

Wiki News

A project currently in dire need of additional helpers, is the Behind the Scenes Speculation Project, which is seeking to both help verify and/or remove dubious information found across the wiki's article-space. Remember that once completed, all participants will receive an official Nukapedia badge of recognition to showcase on their profile, so get to work!
/d users will already be familiar with the Trending Today community feature, detailing events around the Discussions section of Nukapedia. TT is now making an appearance on the wiki itself, providing an archive of all prior and current releases! Make sure to check em out and show your support.
BrandonFox, a wiki old-timer and pollmaster, has returned to give us an additional - Saturday Polls! Show him some love, as we are all very glad to have him back as a part of our community.
A new-comer on the news-scene, user Extrinitus has decided to bring Nukapedia The News After the Nuke. His latest edition can be found here.

Geek-culture News

For those of you that haven't already ready my Hollow Knight review, Hollow Knight is a dystopian Metroidvania game that puts you in the shoes of a character only known as 'The Knight.' The game's latest and last DLC, however, is essentially an entirely new game in and of itself, putting you in the shoes of another prominent character in the game, Hornet. The DLC is called Silksong, and a reveal trailor has now been released.
For those of you living under a rock, ActiVision recently laid off 8% of the staff over in Blizzard, even though the company has reported exceedingly high profits and innovations within its field. While they have been confirmed to be working on more minor titles, such as the highly-anticipated re-make of the Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, the company has declared there there are no major I.P.s currently in the works for the year 2019.
Square Enix has begun an ad-based anti-bullying campaign called “Because of You,” that uses prominent characters from Kingdom Hearts III, to help teach teens that their actions have long-lasting consequences.

Being such a popular franchise across all varieties of age-groups, both Square Enix and the Ad Council agree that Kingdom Hearts will be a perfect vessel for spreading such an empathetic message to those that still have a lot of growing to do in their social settings.

The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers is an game ceremony that has released its list of nominees for 59 awards categories: God of War, Celeste, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider-Man, Monster Hunter: World, Subnautica, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are all up for NAVGTR’s Game of the Year award. God of War is currently leading with 22 nominations, with Spider-Man closely following behind with 21 nominations.

The ceremony will be held on March 13th, and a list of nominees can be found here.

Geek-culture News

Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime has retired, officially leaving on April 15th with Doug Bowser being named the newest president of the company.

What does this mean for the company? Fils-Aime was with the company for a staggering 15 years, leaving big shoes for Bowser to fill, and an even bigger name to live up to within the company and to its fan-base.

The Playstation consoles have always had issues with their extensive multiplayer network, which has been a constant source of frustration among its players. In an interview between Business Insider and Chairman Shawn Layden, some of these concerns were brought up and somewhat addressed.

One of Layden's biggest reported regrets, was the lack of big-title multiplayer games, such as as Call of Duty, and Grand Theft Auto, while Sony finds itself lacking expertise in the field. Will the PS5 fix some of these concerns, and begin to bridge the gap? Only time will tell.

According to Variety and The Information, Google is looking to get into the games subscription service, that will allegedly work through Google's Chromecast, or through their own personal console.
1. Google has already tested the waters before back in 2018 with its Project Stream, and seeing the overwhelming positive reviews, it will only make sense for Google to push the envelope even further.
The E-Sports scene is still a relatively new one, a reality that is especially prevalent when it comes to equality, or the lack of equality, found throughout the segregated tournaments for most big-titled games such as Overwatch and League of Legends.
1. A recent controversy regarding Overwatch has helped bring to light some of the issues faced with joining the E-Sports scene as a woman in particular, all encompassed around a professional Overwatch player under the moniker 'Ellie', who was allegedly the first female player to joined the all-boy professional team in the Overwatch Contendors series of tournaments. In a statement provided by Blizzard, it has been confirmed that 'Ellie' is really a male pro player under the moniker 'Punisher', who fessed up to the deception by stating that the entire ruse was a social experiment.
DOOM Eternal composer Mick Gordon recently put out the call for those willing to join a choir consisting exclusively of "Heavy Metal screamers."
1. The call was ended early due to the overwhelming amount of people interested, but the video still remains up for those interested in checking it out.

Due to some real-life changes, the Sentinel had to undergo a moderate hiatus, and I apologize for that. That being said, the SNM is back, although the Sentinel will now be releasing on Saturdays, rather than Fridays.
Along with SNM content returning as of this week, the virtual store will also officially be opening as of next weekend, and our Patrons will be able to have the chance to finally spend those credits they've been earning!
The SNM has been neglecting the /d side of the wiki since its conception, and this is something that we're going to be changing. Expect more inclusivity for /d users over the coming days.

Administrator -bleep196- has recently posted a discussion forum looking for input regarding the topics of user-rights and community connection. If you're interested in having a part in helping the wiki and its community grow, then make sure to have your say!
User Dragão Carmesim has also thrown out a discussion forum regarding potential changes for both the chat and wiki sides of Nukapedia.
User דָּנִיֵּאל brings us a new community blog, detailing strategic deployment of nuclear armaments within the game Fallout: Vault 76, and how to exploit the subsequent radioactive wastes.
User דָּנִיֵּאל Also brings us another recent community blog for those having difficulty with farming in Fallout: Vault 76. Looking for a few tips on how to make the chore of farming just a tad less tedious? This may just be the blog for you.
Administrator AllYourFavorites decided to give recognition to the select few users that have shown the dedication and tenacity to be awarded the Saviors of the Damned badge, which is given to editors that contribute to the wiki for 365 consecutive days without interruption.

Geek-culture News

As reported by workers at Blizzard, pregnant women have been pressured into using an app called Ovia, which tracks pregnancies and acts as a data-mine for organizations who can use this information for analytics. The Washington Post reports that while volunteers for this app are often paid on a daily basis for this data, it can in turn be used to bring down pregnant women's benefits, as well.
With Microsoft now having to compete with new services such as Google Stadia and Apple Arcade, the company will now soon be bundling Xbox Live and its Game Pass together at a reduced price, from 20 USD to 15 USD a month. What will this mean when Project xCloud becomes available is currently unclear.
Disney has now unveiled its Disney+ streaming service, which will include classics and new series from: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Fox. Expect Disney+ to be open for business on November 12, 2019, starting at 6.99 USD a month.
The game industry is notorious for over-working, and over-paying the developers who work tirelessly in order to release the games that we've come to know and love over the decades. With the rise of indie studios looking to break the stigma and return creative control to the creative developers, many of them, such as Team Meat, the studio behind the popular Super Meat Boy intellectual property, are being pro-active in their fight to raise awareness by delaying their next game, Super Meat Boy Forever, in order to improve their work conditions, and set realistic expectations.

As many of you already know, Wikia recently absorbed Curse Inc., a competing wiki service that included its Gamepedia network and staff. Because of this, Wikia has recently undergone a rather drastic staff change that our users should become familiar with over the coming days. This is a rather important change to our host's infrastructure, including a new CEO, so make sure to give this blog a read!
User Prof. Sugarcube brings forth a discussion forum regarding the naming system utilized on the Atom Store article-page. Make sure to leave some feedback!
Administrator -bleep196- still has an active discussion forum discussing wider wiki changes regarding user rights and community outreach. The forum could still use as much feedback as it can get, as many of these changes can be rather drastic changes that should reflect the majority opinion.

Huge Mario fan, but not so much of a fan of the original 1985 Super Mario Bros dated graphics and controls? An independent author by the moniker ZeroPaige released a modern version of the game after 7+ years of development, entirely non-profit and free to download and play.
As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Switch owners and enthusiasts can expect new models of the handheld system to be released sometime in the near future, for those looking for a more tailored gaming experience. Reports appear to imply that the next model to be released, will be a cheaper and smaller model for those that find the original model a bit too steep of a price, especially for kids, with an estimated price being well below 300 USD.

Geek-culture News

Sega appears to be in a financial hole as depicted by its 2018 financial report, with losses attributed by the company to product delays, and digital sales plummeting. The company and its intellectual properties are still profitable, thankfully, and Sega vows to grow from this with an emphasis on sequels, remasters, and ports of franchises like Sonic The Hedgehog, Persona, and Yakuza, while lowering digital game prices.
Sekiro is a prominent Souls-like game that features brutal gameplay, and very unforgiving combat mechanics that can lead to make players becoming frustrated, or quitting the game entirely. The Japanese website for this game showcases upcoming game changes that may or may not make the game a bit easier for those that find it difficult to power through the game. Stay tuned to see what these changes end up being.

Content Moderator L84Tea has recently decided to hand in her Content Moderator rights. For those of you not well acquainted with this user, L84Tea joined our wiki and community in 2018, and has since then made large-scale, quality edits that have greatly benefited our content and its quality. Her departure from the staff will be felt for some time, and we wish her well.
On the flip-side, if you haven't already, make sure to give our newest administrator, Kdarrow a warm and hearty welcome, as she's been making waves in our community during her relatively short tenure here. Recently our voting requirement regarding policy votes has been updated. The discussion may be found here, while the concluded vote can be found here. Fallout News

Amazon Studios has recently licenses the rights to create a television series adaptation of the Fallout games, leaded by Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham. Created by the minds of Westworld, Kilter Studios is working with Bethesda Game Studios, Bethesda Softworks, and ZeniMax Media to bring the Fallout universe to the screen, and will focus on both a dark and humorous atmosphere. We will report in the adaptation's development as it comes, so stay tuned!
As of 20 hours ago, Fallout 76 has released a new event titled 'A Colossal Problem', providing several updates and content releases. So what does this mean? Well, the event allows you to "Venture deep into the heart of Monongah," a location that you will have to nuke premptively before you can truly begin your newest adventure. You can go solo or with a party of up to 8 players, where the Wendigo Colossus can be fought and defeated for a chance at great riches!
Included in recent updates to 76, players will be able to place solid walls with doorway walls inside their C.A.M.P.S, and receive daily quests from the settler forager ally.The Secret Service srmor and underarmor now work properly and are able to now be purchased.

Geek-culture News

For those of you interested in universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender & The Legend of Korra, Michael Dante DiMartino, one of the original show’s creators, announced that he and co-creator Bryan Konietzko have made the decision to depart the series. Having joined up with Netflix, a live-action adaptation of the show is currently in the works, inspiring creative differences between the parties over a lack of creative freedom. The series will continue without the two, and an open-letter over the matter has been released here.
A sequel to the videogame adapation for Vampire: The Masquerade has been in the works for quite some time now, and recently, lead narrative designer Brian Mitsoda & creative director Ka’ai Cluney have been removed from the project. Paradox Interactive & Hardsuit Labs announced the layoffs on their website, saying that the decision to remove the two leads was a “Joint decision” made by both the respective development studio and its publisher. The creative director role will be filled by Ubisoft's Alexandre Mandryka as a creative consultant.
Announced on EA's website, EA Access and Origin Access subscription services are now being combined under a new name: EA Play. The company states that while there will not be any any immediate major changes coming, that there will be future, exclusive in-game challenges and rewards that will be progressively revealed for members in the coming months. The same prices members are used to for Origin Access and Origin Access premier respectively will be used for the rebrands, meaning EA Play will cost $5 per month, or $30 per year, and EA Play pro will be $15 per month, or $100 per year.
Embracer Group’s along with THQ Nordic, has announced the acquisition of 8 new studios, including Metro series developer 4A Games, and Insurgency developer New World Interactive, both of which will operate independently under Saber Interactive’s umbrella. 4A will continue to build upon the Metro series, in addition to working on a multiplayer collaboration with Saber and a new AAA I.P. that hasn't yet been disclosed to the general public. New World Interactive will continue to build upon Insurgency with Insurgency: Sandstorm, as well as a new AAA I.P. of their own, also not yet diclosed to the general public.

Call to Action[]

There have been quite a few sweeping changes to the wiki lately, and now that the Unified Community Platform has come to fruition here, it's more important than ever for our leadership to get together and inspire innovative changes for the next generation of wiki editors/readers.

As someone who is somewhat inactive myself, I understand how life gets in the way, and I'll fully understand if many of you are unable to commit, but I'd still like to try my best to appeal to you all in getting involved in a few of our currently active projects; especially so since rights-users participating in our discussions/votes are at an all-time low, and many internal decisions are having to be made between a select few users, which is bad for building consensus on important matters.

As such, I would like to ask for you all to look into two of our most important projects right now, as it would mean a lot to me and the wiki if as many people as possible got directly involved in helping shape our future:

The Vault Academy is a program for the training and acclimation of new and even veteran users, training them on how to get involved in the various facets of the wiki, as well as helping them build bonds with their fellow users. The program has kicked off in a big way, and we are in desperate need of more rights-users to sign on as mentors, as we're having to share multiple mentees between each mentor. If you're looking to leave your mark on the wiki, then signing onto TVA program will be your way of doing so.
As a minor update, we now have a new plagiarism point of contact. Should you suspect plagiarized content is at play, please get into point with the user FDekker who will be the initial handler of all such cases going forward.
We have an upcoming meeting of the minds coming up on the 20th of this month, and we need people to come forth and pitch their ideas for adapting to the recent UCP changes, and to possibly adopt some of the ideas that our new datamining friends have been pitching to us.
