Pages with a (disambiguation) suffix should be kept to a minimum. The page without that suffix is much more prefered, looks much neater and has the same effect. And (disambiguation) suffixes are only used in cases of major pages which need to have the main page, like Harold, Courier, Henry of the Prisoner. As with removing the backdrop on any images, you always get the best result from manually cropping it out, I use the pen tool for images with busy backgrounds and the quick selection tool on images with only a few colors in them. As for the screenshots, I use Fraps. In 99.5% of the cases I save my images in the format PNG, because for me PNG offers the highest and most detailed resolution. I get the base ID:s from various sources like the creation kit and sometimes from this wikia. I then spawn the object in using console commands and then adjust brightness in game. Fo4 dialogue files[]

It's been a point of attention since the game was released, however the problem is when you extract them from the game files, they need to be converted with a bot into table format and no one except User:Digital Utopia knows how to do that. Tissue sample/Blood Sample[]

You've gone to away in chat so I thought it would be better to message you. As blood samples and tissue samples are different enough to be distinguished from each other in the search box I would say the For template between the two isn't needed. As discussed in PM: Options for permanent stay are blog and user pages. Links to fancontent can't be put as a main article, but you can for example save links to your user pages on your profile. Agent c is a better person to talk to about portals etc. I'm no longer very much aware of how they work exactly since some recent changes. That being said, I think some catchy word use will get you more hits via google than links on similar portals. Most people end up here via google and they are immedeatly on the page they wanted. I don't think that many people just wander around to portals etc.. If you manage to put some buzzwords in, people looking for stuff on google will see you on top. • All sounds are on the right hand side.
  • Click the button and cancel if you want to listen or just check against the article list.
  • If you accidentally remove the sound click cancel at the bottom and re-open.

• Open the NPC (as with weapons)
• Click Dialogue, double click the dialogue line in the far right window (The buttons at the top let you move between topics)
  • Double click the file name in the box at the bottom.

I've locked the page now and taken a look at the history, this guy was being oddly specific about what he was reverting and wasn't causing actual damage to the page. A little more could have been done to resolve this without reverting back and forth, anons like this one will actually respond to talk pages. That said I can see your rationale, reverted without reason might be vandalism. Guidelines are pretty clear on edit warring, it is where two users are reverting each other repeatedly, which happened here. What I'd like you to do is look at the significant date column. If theres something that you think should be on that date, put the name of the article (and why). Make sure the article is actually worth showcasing. A poor content page (Text only, poorly written, etc) shouldn't be included (at least or until its actually fixed up).

I'd suggest starting by examining the pages we've already got in the featured article list (I should be adding those as I go through that, but I can give you a link to where you can find em if it becomes a bottleneck).

FNV Places to sleep[]

Howdy Nomad, just finished dinner and saw your question in chat. There are a number of bed options in New Vegas, from the various casino suites you can get by winning enough money gambling, to the faction safehouses (NCR, Legion, Followers of the Apocalypse), to incidental player housing such as Wolfhorn Ranch and Victor's shack. For a full list look here Fallout: New Vegas player character housing. As for your food issue, go hunting, most things you find in the wasteland can and will drop food upon death. Up your survival stat to get the most benefits out of what you consume. Scavenging can also lead to pre-War food. Or, of course, you could always buy it. Don't forget about the plants either, as some of the fruits will restore both water and food needs. Hope this helps.

Okay, I think its clear that going ahead with a meeting is a good idea. At this stage I would like to open the floor to agenda items. We have the following things to discuss.

We have arranged facilities for the meeting, it will be held online. It is open to all persons who have participated in any of the video discussion threads up to today, except those employed by Fandom/Wikia inc (as this is the Community's meeting), or have been employed by them in the recent past.

Votes taken in this meeting will be taken as consensus view of the wiki, so everyone is encouraged to attend.

Cleansing the Commonwealth[]

Quartermastery and Ghoul Problem also have dozens of locations too, so my first thought on this is why would Cleansing the Commonwealth be the one that shouldn't stand? Imo, having the quest listed there is useful; readers know that this is a possible location for the radiant quest and may want to go read up a little on it on the quest article.

Fallout 4 is the first foray for Fallout into the radiant world, we have to bear in mind some of our guidelines aren't going to let the radiants check the boxes all other quests would check. Weekly round up[]

I'd like to keep the Sunday one as a nice serious community round up, with a nice light opener. Ideally I'd like a post every day, but I know this is unfeasible, so if we could get it to something close to every other day, that would be nice.

Poll Stuff[]

I was just doing your poll and you had a question that made something else pop in my mind. I'll post most of this same on Leea's talk page as well, and y'all can decide who wants to poll it or if it is worth the trouble. Myself, I thought it was pretty good and if you use it, you can frame it up however you like.

So, here it is. The same creatures appear in just about every Fallout game...Yao Guai, Radscorpions, Deathclaws, etc. What the hell are mutated scorpions doing in DC and the Commonwealth? That's not their native habitat. Whatever happened to other creatures like hawks, eagles, mountain lions, elk, coyotes, snakes, ticks, foxes, bobcats, etc? Last Man Standing usage[]

Hey Nomad, I also lack the skill to make the gun into a mod, I've been debating asking around on the discussions page to see if anyone talented enough would put it in the game, like in a short quest involving finding it.

Honestly I didn't think anyone would want to use my concept for anything, so if you really want to use it I wouldn't say no to the idea. The only condition I have, aside from mentioning me which is really cool on your part, would be to show me a picture or video of the finished design.

I took the picture from the already existing one from the .45 Auto pistol page and just recolored and did a little bit of re-texturing. It's basically just a .45 auto with all of the mods painted black. Hopefully the ingame assets for Fallout New Vegas would provide a better all around picture of it. I struggle to see how it would myself. Do you mean back and forth between Achievements in their sequential order of receipt in the achievements pages infobox or an article section?

We have a call scheduled with Wikia this Friday. We need your input - and the input from as many others as possible. We're hoping to settle once and for all what our relationship is, if it can be salvaged, and what the future should be, as until we settle these featured video can't be settled.

Alien Debate[]

For some context you may want to take a look at this page and this page. To briefly summarize, there's a minor encounter wherein an alien ship crashes in the Commonwealth. The player can investigate the crash site, find the ship, and the nearby cave where the alien occupant has run. Painting with the broadest of strokes, one side says that combat with the alien is wrong due to the circumstances at hand. The other side says that due to the circumstances at hand, there is nothing immoral about engaging in combat with the alien.

For what I had in mind, there would be a very dry introduction that explains the events with little editorializing of the events so that neither side can complain the introduction led readers to lean into one conclusion over another. Provide the same page links I added here, plus a link to the original discussion page for people who may be interested enough to see what arguments have already taken place. On the polls side of things, the questions would be equally simple, offering only a few options pertinent to the debate to help reign people in to contributing to the debate, even if only as a number on a graph rather than a thoughtful post.

Given the giant walls of text on the discussion, there may only be a few people who actually care enough to read through. To compensate for that, let the participants of the discussion present a summary of their arguments thus far as the first comments; keeping the participants thoughts out of the headlining section so that no one looks like their argument is a statement of fact. If you want, you may want to request a (generous) character or word limit on these opening comments so that everyone is not immediately TL;DR'd. And if so, it might be best to drop that number in the discussion as well so that everyone has a chance to see it.

I have not written anything for the headlining section or specific poll questions, at least not yet, because I wanted to hear your feedback. Plus, you may want to add your own flair in there somewhere to compensate for all the "just the facts" talk I've suggested. Play the role of a fight promoter or something, idk. Whatever sound fun to you. Beyond that maybe have Saka say a word or two about the importance or fun of thoughtful debate in the community since it was his suggestion. How's that sound?

Just checking back in, I’m not sure if you had anything worked out for the polls, but this is what I in mind for at least part of the opening section:

The Scenario Introduction

Under the Discussions section, there was recently a lengthy debate over an otherwise unassuming encounter in Fallout 4. Once the Sole Survivor reaches level 20, a random encounter can be triggered where a UFO can be observed crashing in the Commonwealth. Investigate the crash site, and the Sole Survivor can find a hostile alien inside. What originally began as a question asking why the aliens have not invaded the earth yet, evolved into a discussion into the ethics of the encounter in F4. Readers are encouraged to visit the original discussion if you are interested in the full extent of the arguments thus far, but some of the primary participants will be providing a summarized version of their arguments below.

The Polls

Like you suggested, reiterating the original question from the OP since it kind of got lost as the discussion moved on.

PSN has it on sale right now for $40.17 which is a really good deal compared to 60 bucks, but I've heard people say that it sucks ass while others have deemed it the best game ever. FO76 Player Character Vote[]

Hi there! After chatting with you in the Discord earlier today, I was very impressed with your desire to get to the truth. To that end, I wanted to pose a thought to you. Your comment on the vote was that the Community Manager didn't have the authority to override the existing designation, and you wanted someone who has worked on the game. This CM actually is in the credits of the game because she has worked on it. She communicates directly with all of the Fallout 76 programmers daily and works at Bethesda HQ. Beyond that, she didn't simply provide confirmation in a vacuum: Bethesda has consistently used "Vault Dweller" in all official communications and marketing since Todd Howard and Pete Hines took the stage at E3 2018 to announce the launch of Fallout 76. The CM was simply re-affirming something that was approved by the highest authorities from the very start. The current player character name for the wiki, "Resident," in contrast, has never been used by Bethesda. It has no authority in and of itself. As soon as the player characters leave the vault, they are locked out forever and can never see the terminal that use "Resident." The player characters themselves refer to themselves as "Vault Dwellers," and "Vault Dwellers" is the most common and universal designation that NPCs use to refer to the player character. Heck, Bethesda even has a protagonist line of collectibles that specifically use "Sole Survivor," "Lone Wanderer" and (for Fallout 76) "Vault Dweller." Food for thought!
