Bella Gerber, Union Runner, continuing my self-appointed route between the Sanctum and the Trench. It's getting harder to navigate; the terrain changes every day. If something happens to me, I worry that the people sheltered here will be stranded. I need to get back to headquarters and update someone on what's happening here. But at this point... (sigh) I don't know if I can find my way back. Today a little boy asked me if he would ever get to go back home. I didn't have the heart to tell him. That I... That his home... probably doesn't exist anymore. That I wouldn't be able to guide him there, even if it did. All I could do was smile and promise that we'd take care of him here, at the Sanctum.
