Showdown 1: This is the hundred and fifty-second chapter of Volume 3 of Tower of God. It follows the confrontation between Lilial and Shilial about their thoughts towards the Marriage Tournament, with Shilial berating Lilial for being immature and putting her family at risk. Meanwhile, the fight between Zamzam and Matte ends, while the fight between Yuri and Tiara is still ongoing.
Synopsis[]
Lo Po Bia Shilial Zahard extends her hand and asks for an agreement to marry with Twenty-Fifth Baam, which Baam refuses, leading to Shilial asking "...Are you an eunuch or a woman?". Nearby, Dravy and Hemus Lime followed by Khun Aguero Agnis and Rak Wraithraiser are running down a hallway while looking for Baam, with Khun questioning their relation to Ha Yuri Zahard, which Dravy answers that she is unrelated to Yuri and that she is here from FUG to support Baam in the Marriage Tournament with either winning it or escaping in the worst case scenario. Khun is intrigued that Dravy might know about an escape route, so he asks her about it, but she refuses to answer until Baam himself confirms the identity of Khun and Rak and their relation to him. At a t-juntion in the road they can see the body of Lo Po Bia Ren's leech body and damage from The Serpent Master, so they decide to follow the clues towards Baam.
Back to Baam, Shilial is visibly angry that Baam would refuse and tries to negotiate, but Androssi Zahard shouts her down before Lo Po Bia Lilial Zahard joins in denouncing the marriage pact, saying that neither her or Shilial should have to marry Baam. Shilial responds by asking Lilial if they should just let their whole family be wiped out for disobeying the family leader, which Lilial responds that they should just kill Baam since he is the cause of this trouble. Lilial continues to rant about Baam, calling him a demon and a monster in the process, but is quickly put in her place when Shilial slaps her across the face before asking Lilial if their pride is worth risking the safety of their family on. Shilial continues by telling Lilial to stop acting to immature and that Baam was chosen by the family leader as his heir and the two of them is in no postion to refuse. Baam tries to explain that he is not interested in being the heir, but is interrupted by Dravy, Hemus, Khun, and Rak emerging from around the corner, with Khun and Rak immediately asking how he ended up on Lo Po Bia Family Mothership and what happened.
In the airspace around Viridis Parus Hotel, Lo Po Bia Zamzam and Po Bidau Matte Ha are still fighting with Zamzam using Dragonfly drones and shinsu blasts, while Matte is defending using his Doper ability to reinforce himself with concrete. However, despite the home field advantage Matte notice that Zamzam seem to be more desperate than him and he audibly makes a note of it, which Zamzam internally agrees with since the reinforcements should have arrived by now so something is wrong on the Mothership. Matte wants to end the fight quickly since Zamzam's attacks were more powerful than expected, so Matte readies the Spear of Doom, which is a spear he got from Po Bidau Gustang. Zamzam is annoyed that Matte would lie by omission by saying the spear was ceremonial, but Zamzam's complaining is quickly put to rest when Matte ignites the Spear of Doom and skewers Zamzam right through the abdomen while defending against a last barrage of drones. Matte ends the fight on the one-liner: "I'll have to apologize to the hotel guest for that, there are going to be lots of mosquitoes this summer.".
Meanwhile, back to the fight between Yuri and Po Bidau Tiara in the lobby where Tiara has just used her ability to replicate yuri's super dense shinsu blasts four times over, which Yuri think is unlikely at first but she quickly recognize that it is real and decides to dodge them. Tiara continues to replicate the same four attacks, which Yuri responds by jumping into the air before equipping the Green April to block the attacks and do a downward slash with the expansion ability of the green april. However, in the process Yuri gets hit and starts to bleed while her own attack is ineffective due to Tiara turning her body into shinsu with her ability when she is attacked. Yuri stops the bleeding while thinking of a plan, with Yuri deciding to charge towards Tiara and when she gets close enough Yuri will use the green april connected to the reel to fish the book out of Tiara's hands, as Yuri believe that the book is the source of Tiara's strange ability. Tiara sees Yuri blindly charging towards her and is not impressed.

- On Naver, this chapter was published with an advertisement comic for SK Telecom's mobile payment system now allowing subscribers to bill their cellular accounts for fast pass cookie purchases. Baam laments not having enough cookies to see the latest preview chapter and is unable to buy some due to lacking a credit card and not remembering his bank info. Khun comes up behind him and spoils the latest preview chapter, to which Baam complains and asks him how he already read the preview chapter to their series. Khun explains the process of using his SKT account to bill his phone plan for cookies. This advertisement only appeared in Korean (of course).
