Lo Po Bia Ren 2: This is the hundred and thirty-seventh chapter of Volume 3 of Tower of God. It follows a small scuffle between Ren and Baam, that is stopped by Zamzam. Zamzam uncovers an information leak by Jinsung, which has lead to Yuri among other being invited to the Marriage Tournament.
Synopsis[]
Lo Po Bia Ren wakes Twenty-Fifth Baam, with Baam taunting Ren as he is getting out from bed. Ren reacts to Baam's strong presence, but does not believe the news that he has defeated a ranker. Baam reveals that he has later found out about Ren's true profession as an assassin of the Royal Enforcement Division that tried to kill Anak Zahard and harm Androssi Zahard, declaring Ren as an evil monster. Ren is indifferent about Baam's words, as a member of the elite group RED he only takes offense by the implied threat from a regular. Ren attacks Baam with several tongues appearing from the mouth of the sheep head's costume, which Baam blocks with several Baangs while engaging Ren in close quarters fighting. Ren notices several weak spots in Baam, which would be difficult to take advantage of, but he also thinks Baam is hiding something else. Ren's ranker instincts tells him that Baam is dangerous, but he refuses to accept that a regular can be dangerous, so he brings out some of his Shinheuh from out of the mouth. However, Ren is stopped by Lo Po Bia Zamzam who attacks the shinheuh and ask Ren to leave.
Ren is upset that a fellow Lo Po Bia Family member would take the side of a slayer candidate over that of a Zahard Family ranker , but Zamzam does not budge, only reiterating that Baam is a guest of the Viridis Parus Hotel and Ren is an outsider. Ren is overcome by anger at the situation and makes the shinhueh damaged by Zamzam attack Baam, but Baam obliterates it nonchalantly, which leads Zamzam to think that he may not have needed to come to Baam's aid. Baam declares that he do not mind fighting Ren and they can keep fighting, but Zamzam disagrees since they might wake the family leader. Due to the possibilty of waking up the family leader, Ren accepts to end the fight and leaves with Zamzam to another room, but not before threatening to kill Baam at the next opportunity. Zamzam gets an explanation from Ren, which leads him to believe some of the recent arrivals leaked the information regarind the Marriage Tournament to the outside.
Zamzam brings the news of the information leak to Lo Po Bia Traumerei, which leads Traumerei to believe that it is Ha Jinsung that leaked the information and gives the order to call for him. Jinsung arrives and quickly admits to leaking the information, with the given reason of expediting the process of the marriage tournament while getting rid of people undesirable to Traumerei. Traumerei is not pleased with being circumvented, since it was him that was supposed to plan the tournament, but ultimately agrees to let Jinsung off the hook if he gives the list of people he leaked the information to. Jinsung leaves, with Traumerei contemplating the futility of the lesser being known as Jinsung, but he eventually comes to the decision that he will use the situation to his advantage, since no matter how many people Jinsung attracted they will all die to The Serpent Master anyway. Later, Zamzam looks over the list given by Jinsung and determines that nobody will pose a threat to the plan, except for maybe Ha Yuri Zahard.
A few days prior to the Marriage Tournament in an uncharted area of the Middle Area Ha Yuri Zahard is on a mission from Zahard's Army. Yuri was punished for her actions at the Battle of The Last Station with military conscription while on probation, which Yuri calls "practically abuse". Her mission seem to be to destroy a shrine worshiped by a tribe in the uncharted area.
