52F - Defensive Battle (5): This is the hundred and seventeenth chapter of Volume 3 of Tower of God. It follows Baam and his group as they battle the Leviathan in order to keep it within the seal as it is moved inside Baam. Meanwhile, Yorari and Orari are stopped in their pursuit by The Boss and Yool.
Synopsis[]
Leviathan sees a white line as its being moved inside of Twenty-Fifth Baam, but it wonders if this truly is Baam due to the amount of space that is left, though it intellectually knows it is inside Baam, so Leviathan questions the identity of Baam. The purpose of Leviathan is to devour the whole tower, but when faced with a Baam, who is able to deny its purpose by devouring Leviathan itself whole, it start to deny this reality and fight against it with all its might. Leviathan roars as it struggles against Baam, with Vicente performing the spell to move the seal and Khun Aguero Agnis and Rak Wraithraiser giving support from the side.
Meanwhile, Lo Po Bia Orari and Lo Po Bia Yorari are running towards Baam with a Lo Po Bia Family guard following right behind, which they both find suspicious since the same guard earlier "could not fly" causing them to lag behind Baam's group. Orari decides to confront the guard, while Yorari moves on ahead, which the guard tries to stop, but stops him with a jump kick, an attack the guard blocks. Orari asks who the guard is since they are able to block his attack, which the guard answers that he would like to know as well, but they call themselves "The Boss". On his way towards Baam, Yorari is stopped by Lo Po Bia Yool, who Yorari recongnize as a member of his branch family and questions what Yool is doing here, which Yool answers that he is there to stop Yorari. Yorari finds the idea that a regular could stop him to be ridiculous, which Yool agrees that he cannot stop Yorari with brute force but Yool got an item that can, it is a snake charmer's flute allegedly belonging to the family leader. Yool plays the flute, forcing Yorari to dance to the music and making him unable to pursue Baam.
Back to Baam, Leviathan tries to break the seal but is stopped by Rak who throws several stones at the Leviathan, which forces it back inside the seal. Leviathan in a last desperate effort tries to destroy the seal with a blast of Shinsu. While this is happening Khun Maschenny Zahard and Khun Marco Asensio notices something, Yorari is held up by Yool and his flute, and Orari has been killed by the Boss.The Frozen Waterfall shatters into a million pieces, causing the snake that wrapped around it to disintegrate, while Baam and his companions escape from the destroyed monolith, with Baam having a light blue tint to his eyes after absorbing Leviathan.

Hello. Today is the publication day. A mobile game was also coming out soon, so I drew a little Baam from the first volume. What kind of style will come out if I draw Baam of the first volume these days... I drew it with the same feeling. Maybe it feels little younger, or it's got a more casual feel.
If you think about it, Tower of God has been recreated with various platforms such as anime and games. Each time, I feel like I'm re-reading the previous manuscript. There are times when something is so old that I have to start with parts 2 and 3 no matter what I make now. Even if you think you've come so far. It makes me think that there is still a long way to go. It has not been easy until now, but there are many times when I am afraid that it will be even worse in the future. Time changes so many things. Still, I think this job is fun, and I want to keep working hard.
These days, it's warm in the morning and cool at night. It really seems like the perfect weather to go out and have a beer. I don't think I've acted like that lately, but... haha But when spring comes, it's great. Ah haha I think I'm getting older.
