I am a big fan of Fallout and I hate to be a downer, but Nukapedia is a registered trademark of EXCEL Services Corporation of Rockville, Maryland, USA (Serial No. 85/498962). Look up "www.nukapedia.com". I have to ask you to remove the term "nukapedia" from your Fallout Wiki. I don't think it will have a significant effect on the site, but we have to protect our trademark. If you'd like to discuss it, drop me a line.

I'll ask someone with a bot to do it. I noticed already that by doing the name changes and the adding an enter, i start making mistakes when doing it one after another. Adding a third one will further increase the chances, and I think bots will be able to do this as it's the same for every page. Should we also get a seperate category for these or not? Otherwise the bot might be able to add it in 1 go. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 13:46, April 11, 2015 (UTC)

Patroller Request[]

Hi Jspoelstra, I am here to ask you to grant me patroller rights. I have been active at this wiki for nearly 2 months, and during that time I have participated in multiple projects. I have 323 article edits and 514 edits total. I believe that with the rollback tools, I will greatly help the wiki when the next game is announced. I have greatly contributed to Kern's Fallout 2 character project, and I intend to work to complete it. I am on during the American day, and I will help to insure that vandalism is dealt with quickly. If I am not granted the rights, I will continue to edit and learn from proficient editors such as yourself. It's still on my agenda, but was giving priority on adding new pages for now, but I guess you're right that it's better to do the skill books first. Fallout Tactics: Gambling skill[]

Formula 0%+(2xIN+3xLK). This is not what skill.txt says. However this file determines only the text displayed on given item not how actually skills are computed. Just test it during character creation process by manipulating intelligence and luck levels. Gabling skill will be increased or decreased by 2 and 3 percent respectively for each character point in those areas. Ironglow (talk) 18:17, April 19, 2015 (UTC)

Okay, one last apology. I remembered last night that it's a dialogue option for the player, so it's something that the player character says, not the officer. I feel that these "quests" don't warrant separate pages. These are not actual quests, but cop out solutions to Find out who was responsible for Richard Wright's overdose. GNR booth access password[]

Hi J, sorry about deleting the comment it wasn't a big deal, I was just asking for an edit on the page since this note seems to be cut from the game. However, I figured out how to edit the pages myself, and did my best to fix some of the summaries. The notes in question were the settlement of Megaton, Photo of Doctor Li, and GNR booth access password. You already fixed the first one, and the last one I'm pretty sure is cut from the game. The photo of Li is only available if you complete the GNR quest WITHOUT passing the Speech check. It's confusing, but I hope my edits helped to clear things up. What may be the problem in the CUSTOM LIST STYLES section in MediaWiki:Common.css is an extra "}" in that section, under /* table list bullets */ so should probably look like this (view in source): /* table list bullets */ .va-table ul > li:before { font-size: 15px; left: -0.95em; } Canti-sama(talk) 20:33, April 27, 2015 (UTC)
I see the links are working now, it may have been that a { or } was in the wrong spot in the Custom list styles section, but I wouldn't know where they should be in the first place... >.< Canti-sama(talk) 20:47, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

Patrollers[]

The main reason I brought this vote up was to eliminate the "we have too many admins/moderators" reason for voting no on user rights requests. Since patrollers are appointed by bcrats and not voted in by the community I felt that this was less of an issue for patrollers. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 12:21, April 28, 2015 (UTC)

I was going to go more since January or look at each position's application requirements (e.g. admin having 3 months of active wiki-ing) and see if they still fill those criteria. But I'll make note of when their last few contributions were prior to this vote (and how often they'd been in chat prior too) I'm also going to show recent temp modding and mod applications (specifically Kern, Peace and Cassie) as they show that we had a need for mods/admins which were not being fulfilled by our current staff. Re:Deleting unused files on German wiki[]

Yes, it is possible. However, AWB only allows deleting pages when manually controlling the bot (so I'd have to press "delete" every time). This makes sense as allowing a bot to continuously delete pages on its own is bound to be dangerous. --Skire (talk) 21:48, May 3, 2015 (UTC)

Did a bit of reading actually. Pywikibot can actually do this on an automated scale. For AWB, generating the very list requires some extra work that is beyond my level of knowledge (since the unused files are listed on a Special page and not in a category). I'm betting that Porter didn't use AWB :) --Skire (talk) 21:54, May 3, 2015 (UTC)

Fallout 3 Audio files (Caps Sound)[]

Hello. I saw that you worked on the audio portion of the Fallout wiki. I've been looking for a game sound that I think should really be on the wiki which is the caps noise that is made when caps are exchanged from traders. If you could put up the file I'd be greatly appreciative. I've looked all over the internet and can't find it myself. This is kind of strange because I feel like this is one of the most iconic sounds in Fallout.

If is is hidden in some other section I would be greatly appreciative if you could tell me where because I haven't been able to find it.

Either way thanks for reading this.

Edit: Hell yes! Thanks :)

If you find it I'm sure it will be a great addition to the wiki.

votes[]

I'm fully aware of it, and I think they should rather get an inactive tag (like we have tags already, a section already and like other wikis do), than stripping their rights. The issue that is brought up is that new people would have a hard time getting new rights because we have to many users that are inactive, well if they are listed as inactive, it should be clear that they are inactive, thus should not count. When Fallout 4 comes out, we will need all hands on deck, and then I prefer having people ready that already prooved themselves, rather than impulsively appointing because we quickly need more crew. Furthermore, removing their rights will only decrease chances of having our old users back editing. Coming back and seeing you're put on "inactive" is more welcoming than being back to 0. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 12:52, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

Ik vermoed dat het een samengaan is van E3 speculatie met de explosie van edits wanneer je alle links verwijderde (als je onder de admintab kijkt zie je dat deze als edits werden gerekend). - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 14:06, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
- Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 14:24, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

Categories[]

Hi J,

Looks like some recent changes between yourself and Jasper have caused a bit of head butting. Logically, if "(Game) Human Characters" is a subset/sub category of "(game) Characters", is there any reason behind having both on the page, as it seems a bit redundant to me. Agent c (talk) 00:16, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Broken Steel[]

The Category: Broken Steel is already in Category:Fallout 3 add ons. Policy says;

Similarly, a weapon which appears in Operation: Anchorage should not be in Category:Weapons or Category:Fallout 3 weapons, but only in Category:Operation: Anchorage weapons (because the latter is the most game-specific category).

Ergo, something that can be put in a operation anchorage category shouldn't also go in a Fallout 3 category said op anc category is already it. Same would apply to all DLC, including Broken Steel. There is no need for Broken Steel (the page) to be in the Fallout 3 add ons category when the Broken Steel category is already there. It's redundant and Broken Steel is more game specific.JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 00:33, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Prior bad practice isn't a reason to continue that.... Agent c (talk) 00:35, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Yes I am well aware that a page can be in more than one category, hence why my edit summary wasn't "can't be in more than one category". This is a matter of there being a MORE GAME SPECIFIC category it can be in WITHIN a category it is in. As the policy literally says that something should be in the most game specific (and ONLY the most game specific) categories. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 00:37, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Not really, I was kinda mediating a dispute on chat where this was part of the issue. We worked through the rules, and I was designated to approach you. Agent c (talk) 00:43, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

It's tomorrow now, so have you taken another look at this? JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 20:50, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Well okay, but while we're at it what about the issue Chad raised? The idea that someone is in both "Game Human Characters" and "Game Characters" is rather redundant wouldn't you agree? JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 21:07, May 6, 2015 (UTC)
While I am perfectly open to the idea of having things in redundant categories the general consensus (from what I see) tends to be in favor of not. Personally I can go either way, as long as it's standardized across the wiki. Issue is right now we have two systems in play. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 01:07, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Hey Js, I've noticed your recent discussion with Jasper regarding categories. When I redid the Unique Items categories (weapons/armor/miscellaneous) I created general and then sub categories for both the overarching unique items and their individual purposes as well as game specific subcategories for each. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Unique_items This may or may not help you and Jasper derive a more efficient and less redundant category system for your current problem.---bleep196- (talk) 14:56, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Ah I see what you are getting at there, which raises some interesting thoughts. I'm going to take a better look at these categories and think about this issue and see if I can't come up with a solution myself if you don't beat me to it. As for the bugs, I tend to keep them cleaned out on a regular basis but I've been absent for quite awhile so things backed up. ---bleep196- (talk) 15:46, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Awesome. I'll look in to throwing a forum together shortly. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 16:57, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Weapons sounds[]

Heyya Jspoel. I would like to work on the "Sounds" project, mainly weapons in FO:NV Ultimate Edition. I read and reread the project's page, but it's a bit confusing, "within the scope of the project" and "outside the scope of this project" as well as, "When taking on a page that is not within the scope of the project please add the FFOP tag to the top of the page." I asked Pally what the FFOP tag is, and he didn't know...i have a program to record audio that exports as .ogg, so a little wiring, expirimenting, and then i'm good to go. Once again, mainly weapons, as i have a PS3, so no console commands to obtain a weapon or affect a conversation that i cannot re-create. Thanks! WastedWarrior (talk) 16:52, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

Categorization[]

Hey Js, I have been unable to do a whole lot the past couple of days due to the removal of my Wisdom teeth. I have been reviewing the category problem that you and Jasper have been discussing, but I'm not entirely clear on where the conflict is coming from. Can you explain, as concisely as possible because I'm still not functioning at 100%, what the exact rudimentary issue is here. ---bleep196- (talk) 14:05, May 14, 2015 (UTC)

Hrmmm, I definitely see what you are saying, and looking through the categories there is some redundancy in Porters system. Currently, and I'm noticing this in the Unique Items and Weapons, we have pages in a sub category as well as a big main category, for example: the Mysterious Strangers outfit is in both FO3 and FNV Armor and clothing as well as FO3 and FNV Unique Armor and Clothing. Categories, at their most basic, are supposed to be used for organizing and grouping our articles, The FNV Unique Armor and Clothing and FO3 Unique armor and clothing categories fall under the respective FNV Unique Items and FO3 Unique Items as well as the Unique Armor and Clothing Giant Category. In turn, the FNV Unique Items and FO3 Unique Items falls into the giant branch category of FNV Items. Even more importantly, the FNV unique Armor and clothing, and the FO3 unique Armor and clothing categories are also categorized under FNV Armor and Clothing; FO3 Armor and Clothing. The purpose of the unique item categories is to separate the unique/special items from common items, and sense these subcategories fall underneath the broad categories, including those broad categories adds levels of redundancy that not only make the categories larger than they should be but may even result in unnecessary extra space and time just to process the amount of information in the category.
Basically, what I'm saying is that instead of putting the Mysterious Stranger's Armor under both Armor and Clothing as well as Unique Armor and Clothing, we should classify it under just Unique Armror and Clothing, as the Broad Armor and Clothing category links to the Unique Armor and Clothing Subcategories. This concept can be applied to characters, creatures, locations, etc.
In the Case of Amata: She is a Human Character, but also a Human Character in Fallout 3. If the Fallout 3 Human characters category is within the Fallout 3 Characters Category then it would be most efficient to simply have the Fallout 3 Human Characters category on the article since the category page itself will be categorized within the Fallout 3 Characters. ---bleep196- (talk) 14:59, May 14, 2015 (UTC)
However, with that said, I am also speaking from the point of view of an editor, someone who is overtly familiar with our category system. Having redundancy in the articles by utilizing multiple categories may be of navigational value to users who aren't familiar with how to navigate our categorical systems or classifications. ---bleep196- (talk) 15:10, May 14, 2015 (UTC)

Patroller Request (Take 2)[]

Hi Jspoelstra, I am here again to ask you to grant me patroller rights. I have continued to work on Kern's project. I have been monitoring the recent edits to counteract vandals and bad edits. I believe that I could proficiently edit with those tools.

There should have been a list of this user's edit counts here, but the edit counts feature is no longer available.

Thanks, --Animcentaur Bigsamcrew 18:57, May 14, 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for responding quickly. I understand completely where you are coming from, and I actually after further thought, agree with you. I will probably wrap up Kern's project, and do some work leading up to E3. Unfortunately, from June 14 to July 15 I will be working out of state and have no internet access, save my phone. I intend to return after that to deal with the pandemonium associated with Fallout 4. I also should add that Jasper is going to join me on the project soon. I will continue the project in my sandboxes until the time arrives that a decision is made. New layout[]

Hey, tomorrow, our wiki content part should get reduced to about the width of a toilet paper on the average computer, to fit with the current most common mobile screen resolutions. The thing is that this will mess up quite some design features we've been doing for months now (widths=210 for example). I was wondering what we should do with it. If you want we can discuss it in chat. My suggestion would be to just ignore the changes and carry on the way we were going. It would be an awful lot of work to revert all our earlier work and most importantly, I think they will come back on this decision. The new generation smartphones already has double the resolution they support with this new update, the current most common resolution among gamers is well over the supported resolution and 60-80% of the new laptop models exceed the max supported resolution of this new update. As resolutions only improve over time, I think the work we would do make our wiki again for 1024px will be useless as I consider the current update doomed before it's even forced on us. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 00:19, May 19, 2015 (UTC)

Hi J. An anon recently made this edit. I'm not sure if the stat change is correct (both the AK47 page and the corresponding Vault pages show 11-22 damage for burst). Can you verify? I have no experience with FOT whatsoever... --Skire (talk) 02:15, May 20, 2015 (UTC)

Image Categorization[]

Hey Js, just a heads up, I have added categories to most of the uncategorized images in our system. Can you purge/refresh the page so that those images that have had categories added to them are removed from the listing. ---bleep196- (talk) 20:35, May 26, 2015 (UTC)

I'm aware of the refresh, I just wanted to see if there was a way to refresh them manually. I knew I was forgetting something while adding the categories, I will go back and add in the copyrights. ---bleep196- (talk) 20:47, May 26, 2015 (UTC)

Fat Man[]

Total accident. Didn't even noticed I unticked the box. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 20:42, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong but te title "Fat Man (Disambiguation)" is in inline with both;
A)Any policies we have
B)Gunny's project.

Regardless of the fact you disagree with said project, it is happening either way. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 20:54, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

How is it confusing for new users? If they search for "Fat Man" in the search bar we still get the page. It is not pointless when it is inline with a project and is following the trend all disambiguation will follow over the course of the project. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 20:58, May 28, 2015 (UTC)
I used the capitalised format as it was the same one used on Dynamite (Disambiguation). If that is the issue it is a simple task of renaming it with a lowercase D, so that is a point not even worth bringing up to start with. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 21:01, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

It has been brought to my intention that I misread the project page and (Disambiguation) is only needed in certain circumstances. My apologies. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 21:06, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

Notification[]

I did not check to see who made the update, but the website's auto-notifier should probably be updated again to remove the mention of Fallout 4, specifically. While I think this will definitely be a reveal, meaning I highly doubt mentioning Fallout 4 will come to bite us in the ass, I still think it would be a nice touch of professionalism to stay calm and collected while we wait for tomorrow's gift of clarity.

Just a thought: take it as you will. 69.247.6.120 15:22, June 2, 2015 (UTC)

It is all up to you. And we are all excited! Hopefully I can be here when the big reveal happens tomorrow. :) 69.247.6.120 15:40, June 2, 2015 (UTC)
I appreciate your words, but unfortunately, I will not be here in any serious capacity for a while still. Right now, I am anonymous because I do not have a computer, and am using a friend's. But even when I do get my new computer up and running, I will have to dedicate my free time towards getting the SNM ready for Fallout 4.
But I will be back, as I have missed editing. Will also be doing work for The Vault, so I imagine I will be keeping myself pretty busy when I return to the life of editing. 69.247.6.120 16:58, June 2, 2015 (UTC)

Clean-ups[]

I cannot log-in still, but I decided that I really ought to be doing my part to help the wiki out while we prepare. I have been making small-edits, as this computer cannot handle huge loads. I am writing this message to you, because if you need any help directed towards somewhere specific, just let me know, and I will jump right onto it.

Happy editing! 69.247.6.120 16:03, June 4, 2015 (UTC)

A man that recognizes my heart - that, I can absolutely do. You guys keep doing what I cannot, and I will jazz them up as best as I can. By the time that E3 shows us even more creature/lore content, I will have my new computer ready, and I will be able to knock out some serious expansions. 69.247.6.120 16:25, June 4, 2015 (UTC)
Images never were my expertise, as much as I hate to say that. :( But I do love playing around with info-boxes, so you can expect some work from my end on those soon enough. Also, is there any chance that the 'Dog' article can be unlocked? I am not sure if it needs any new content right now, but I plan on giving it a look-over soon if possible. 69.247.6.120 16:36, June 4, 2015 (UTC)
Got through the ones I was interested in, and I will be back later to do a few more touch-ups. Will probably pass by the location articles for now, since there was next to nothing we could discern from them in the trailers.
Not entirely happy with the deathclaw analysis yet, so I will be working on that when I come back in later. 69.247.6.120 16:57, June 4, 2015 (UTC)
Is that page not the general article over dogs, instead of the specific one seen in the trailer? 69.247.6.120 17:05, June 4, 2015 (UTC)
Ah - I see where you are getting at. Yeah; I understand the addition of that information. I will be back in a bit, and if no one else has added that information in, I will see about writing out a passage for it. 69.247.6.120 17:09, June 4, 2015 (UTC)

Maybe in the future[]

Sorry, J - I think I am already going to have to take another break from the wiki. Not only are my edits being systematically marked and reverted, with no explanation given for quite a few of them, but now I have an administrator abusing the edit summary tool in order to get passive-aggressive towards me.

I really do not have the energy for this - especially when I am trying to work for two different wikis. I will still try and get some editing done here when my new computer is built. But I have to say that I probably will leave then, too, if I continue to experience every single action of mine being scrutinized beyond belief, and having everything I do here questioned without explanation most of the time. 69.247.6.120 23:37, June 4, 2015 (UTC)

I am not rage-quitting or anything - I will make sure to be back in-time for the 14th. However, my frustration lies a little deeper than just reversions. But since that is in an established discussion with Jasper, I will not burden your talk-page further with my grievances.
Also, I will be back a little sooner than the 14th, to talk to you about something. Nothing bad, I promise. :) But once I get my new computer up and running, I have something in mind that you and the rest of the wiki will greatly appreciate, should it be accepted here. I want to keep it private for now, so when I come back next week, we should hop into chat together. See you, soon! 69.247.6.120 22:48, June 5, 2015 (UTC)
When I come back next week, I will be able to log-in again. No worries, there. :) Although, as a funny side-note (to me, at least), I will be changing my user-name on this account for RP'ing purposes (going to be spending more time at Chris' RP wiki when I return to normal editing). 69.247.6.120 23:16, June 5, 2015 (UTC)

The building is in the video and has a door (so it'll be a location to our standards), around these buildings is a perimeter wall with other structures in it and in the background people (so a sttlement). The building is a lodge, Wikipedia uses the name "Bunker Hill Lodge". I can't see what better placeholder name we could set for it, or why it shouldn't be there yet. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 17:03, June 5, 2015 (UTC)

Pre-FO4 idea[]

Hi J! So Agent c suggested something to me the other day that I liked and wanted to tell you about. Since I live in the Boston area (the city being around 40 minutes away), I can visit the sites shown in the FO4 trailer (USS Constitution, Bunker Hill Monument, Beacon Hill, etc.) and take pictures. I would then post them in a blog here as we continue the wait. And when the game finally comes out, we can do a nice side-by-side comparison of the locations. I'm glad to be able to contribute significantly once more :) --Skire (talk) 17:43, June 5, 2015 (UTC)

Mirelurk (FO4)[]

Hello, I noticed something on the Mirelurk page for the Fallout 4 version. Even though we believe it is a Mirelurk can we really say it's aquatic if it is not seen in the water (yet)? I mean it's seen ( in the trailer) in Sand with no water around it, unlike a beach... Although a mirelurk must be near water this could be a form that has evolved or diverted in a way. Let me know your thought, this is just my outlook on it. Have a pleasant day!

ManAsWolf (talk) 12:01, June 6, 2015 (UTC)

Alright, will do. I'm staying away from most the new game pages due to way too much speculation. I'm only looking for stuff that needs fixing in pages that are already here prior. Redlinks, template issues, grammar and such, as well as vandalism. ManAsWolf (talk) 13:25, June 6, 2015 (UTC)
I would love to create it but I do not have the resources here to create it (game, operating system). I could look into from other pages however, right? I just haven't seen any other pages mention it yet. ManAsWolf (talk) 13:31, June 6, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for checking J. My issue with the note, beyond the fact that there are other colors of protectrons featured in the games, comes from the fact that it would be speculative to use that one protectron as the sample set for all protectrons in the upcoming game. I would just as soon avoid wide sweeping generalizations like that in the articles for fallout 4 until more information is available. Additionally, whether or not the note was in error the fact remains that edit warring was occurring and that the anon created an account seemingly to just re-add the note despite talk page warnings not to. Patches Placeholder Page[]

Why is it too early to add that page, but not all the other ones? It's a placeholder, after all.

TylerFallout (talk) 18:06, June 9, 2015 (UTC)

I was creating the page as a placeholder so there is less work down the road. What's the difference between creating one now and creating one when everyone is working hard on other Fallout 4 stuff? This way it's easier on everyone, I'm not adding unconfirmed content as there will be patches, as there are for any game that comes out.

TylerFallout (talk) 18:13, June 9, 2015 (UTC)

It's a valid placeholder. Just like everything else. This page is even more valid than ones you've made, such as the glass pitcher. It's insane how you think it's not a good addition, considering there will no doubt be a day 1 patch, so you're reasoning of being too far into the future is invalid. Detroit lions Hawk da Barber 2013 - BSHU Graduate 18:13, June 9, 2015 (UTC)

CSS[]

Hey, your recent edits to the MediaWiki:Common.css file have caused some unexpected side effects. When you added the margin/padding it applied that to things it shouldn't have and as a result rendered infoboxes, history pages, and diff pages in an unreadable manner. Since then the file has been reverted to diff 2257729 which was last published on May 3rd.

In the future I advise that before making a change to the CSS pages that you first properly test your changes to make sure they don't effect the wrong things. This can easily be done by using a live CSS testing extension from either the Mozilla Market or the Chrome Web Store.

Shining-Armor (talk) 15:21, June 11, 2015 (UTC)

While it is true that you can revert it you always need to exercise caution when publishing it. You may be able to revert it but you cannot stop Wikia from grabbing the bad version of the CSS and serving it to unregistered users. The cache for users is relatively short but things for anonymous users can be cached for days meaning that you could render the wiki and it's content worthless for days at a time and be forced to contact Wikia and have them manually flush the cache. Alwasy, always, always test your changes before pushing them.

My Notes[]

Even though the game's release is still a few months away, the influx of anon's and new uses will likely spark additions to our current articles, both of material that may or may not be superfluous as well as the addition of bugs. The more people we have here editing that play the games, the more likely it is that bugs that aren't already recorded in our articles will be discovered. I will remove that particular note, as you said your forum is for the trailer and not the game and it is your particular forum. ---bleep196- (talk) 17:35, June 12, 2015 (UTC)

Can you hit me up in chat? I have an image source for you that is second to none. Agent c (talk) 20:06, June 12, 2015 (UTC)

Behind the scenes[]

I have created a template and been give the go-ahead by Chad to implement it. It'll be used to tag behind the scenes information that has not been confirmed, which I feel is needed with our current policy.

Can you give me an information?[]

Hello J.

I'm Linconl a Bureaucrat at the Portuguese version of Fallout Wiki and I would love to know if you have any idea to find the total of bytes added by a certain person to the wiki that you have administration powers.

I'm looking foward to hear from you.

Dogmeat (Fallout 4) page?[]

Bethesda confirmed on their twitter the dog in Fallout 4 is called Dogmeat http://i.imgur.com/K05HKT8.jpg , should we create a page for it? DRAEVAN13 14:43, June 15, 2015 (UTC)

Does that reference for Dogmeat look good enough? I'm not sure how to do out-of-game references. DRAEVAN13 15:22, June 15, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, I was a little hasty there, due to the fact I have other things to work on as well. ☢ Energy X ☣ 17:40, June 15, 2015 (UTC)

As I said, it is done in haste, but I'll keep that in mind. ☢ Energy X ☣ 18:17, June 15, 2015 (UTC)

Place holder articles[]

Hey Js, I know your stand on placeholder articles, but I really think they're getting out of hand. I can see absolutely no reasonable justification of articles like [[Unknown_tank|this]] to exist, to be perfectly honest :/

Yeah, but I knew someone would replace them. Not an image master like you, but at least it should suffice, for now, considering how much content we got at so little time. ☢ Energy X ☣ 19:04, June 15, 2015 (UTC)

Re:Information[]

Let's assume that this person has edited the wiki for a few months and I wanted to see the total bytes that he put on the wiki more or less. Do you happen to know how to do this?

-Ahead! Lincoln Speak! 21:53, June 15, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah I'll do that but is just going to take forever. anyway thanks for the help.
-Ahead! Lincoln Speak! 22:14, June 15, 2015 (UTC)
I just wanted to know how many information or at least have a base to compare with older users that no longer edit there or put as an topic to make somebody as an admin. Of course I would check their efforts translating or creating content but I wanted to know it to see how much stuff I've done.

Disruption[]

Hello!

I hate to rain on anyone's parade during this exciting time, but unfortunately, we have a rather insulting user hanging around the blog-space. Would you mind looking into the user Ralok? Normally, I might have turned the other cheek - but this user apparently has a history here at Nukapedia regarding their general attitude towards other users.

Thanks, and happy editing! User:Sarkhan the Sojourner 00:05, June 16, 2015 (UTC)

Oh - and if you respond, please do it on here for now. I will be customizing my talk-page soon, and I would prefer having it blank in the mean-time. Sorry if that is an inconvenience! User:Sarkhan the Sojourner 00:05, June 16, 2015 (UTC)
Of course - your call. Edit: You are misreading me, a bit - I am not directly reacting to his comments. The condescension is something I noticed in the recent changes - not due to being in actual discussions with him. Figured I would clear that up. User:Sarkhan the Sojourner 00:26, June 16, 2015 (UTC)
Your interpretation of my tone (condescension) is not an objective metric for my behavior or my intentions, nor is it even remotely relevant in this universe or any other. I cannot chose what tone you or other people interpret what I write in, the is is a text-communication envionment... try to not jump to conclusions. ralok (talk) 00:29, June 16, 2015 (UTC)
