Moving around
Hey Mara, since I know you to keep an eye on recent changes, I wanted to let you know we've decided in Discord to move all the Expeditions: Atlantic City pages to the more specific Boardwalk Paradise category. Content from the PTS (America's Playground content) will be placed in the America's Playground category. So eventually we won't be using the EAC category anymore. I have done my best to optimize the images by cropping them to remove unnecessary space and zooming them in. Please stop cropping images down to the absolute minimum edge of the image subject. There needs to be some negative space between the image object and the edge of the image. Recent Codsworth Edit
Quick note on the Codsworth edit: the single quotation mark around "relief" was correct; in the previous sentences, it's made clear that Codsworth doesn't feel actual relief, but a robot's approximation. He does not use the word "relief" in his dialogue (that I know of); hence, 'relief'. I know it's a small point, but I worked really hard on that section to get it right. I'm a new contributor, so please let me know if I missed a style guide rule for the page summary too.

Brotherhood-Enclave conflict on the West Coast page
Greetings, I saw your suggestion to merge the articles. The reason that I created a different page was because technically they are two different conflicts. They take place on opposite sides of the continent, the West Coast one has gone on for 60 years basically with a low intensity, basically just search and destroy missions against remnants (2241-present), while the East Coast war was extremely intense by comparison but only lasted 1 year and was fought against the actual Enclave (2277). The West Coast conflict is still going and the East is getting involved, hence why I added that stuff the East Coast Brotherhood-Enclave War page. but yeah they are two different wars in my opinion, fought by separate factions of the BoS up until the TV Show. Eitherway I could remove some of what I put on the Brotherhood-Enclave War page if that would make things more acceptable.Bleachgod123 (talk) 04:16, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

Browning auto rifle
"It's been around since the earliest Fallout games" - has it? As far as I know, the BAR appears directly only in Fallout Tactics and in the TV show. The automatic rifle in New Vegas is based on BAR with some modifications, but it's not in Fallout 1 and 2. JagoAndLitefoot (aka Ausir) (talk) 22:28, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

I'm sorry if I'm unnecessarily cutting in on this topic; however, in addition to the Dane (TV series) page, the user also removed information from the Lee Moldaver page. The information that was removed from Lee's page was added by you, Tagaziel. It was information from the BTS section about Lee's relationship with Rose MacLean.
I don't know whether or not the information they removed was appropriate, but I thought it'd be best to mention it.

That tracks. I'm sorry I made you feel so disrespected. I frankly felt that the new editor had been quite thoroughly disrespected, and my tact was meant to dignify them. I regret being catty when unlocking the page; I would like to directly ask you to be gentler with new editors who are not being malicious.
I have come to greatly appreciate what you do for the wiki. You're very diligent. Much of your work is thankless and very necessary. But, to be forthright, you made me feel highly disrespected and discouraged when I joined. You tend to be overwhelmingly firm and dismissive, when simply asserting yourself and explaining why would generally suffice.
But more importantly, I know you are passionate and principled about serving the community. Overall your judgment is sensible and you assert yourself with a necessary boldness. I sincerely value your input and your contributions. Keep up the good work.--Anachorite (talk) 02:21, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
- I would specifically ask you to consider that a very inexperienced user apparently "edit warring" may be experimenting with revisions and trying to do better. We had such a misunderstanding when I was very new. If you'll recall, I was ultimately entirely fine with allowing the page to remain as you desired. However, I was highly discouraged by the way you spoke to me about the matter. Please consider trying to assume better faith in those situations.
