Light Machine Gun Damage edits[]

You sent me a warning about edit warring more than likely on the LMG page because I changed the value of the damage number from 9 -> 16. Not too long later I saw the value was 9 again and had assumed there was a mistake in submission of the edit so I changed it back to 16. My intention was not malicious in nature but rather confusion on my part as to why a value was reverted. One question I do have though is about damage values for weapons in fallout 76. Since there are multiple level versions of weapons that can be crafted and found in game are we reporting all of those values or only a certain level range? Currently the values for base damage on the LMG are 11/13/16 depending on the level crafted 30/40/50 respectively. The prime automatic receiver increases base damage by +2/+3/+4 depending on the level variant. How should I proceed? --FoxyPsycho (talk) 02:44, January 1, 2019 (UTC)

Big Brained/Eye for Eye[]

Try to play the game with a crippled head, and see how annoying being blinded every 20 seconds turns out to be. As far as eye for eye, the El Dorado lake bed is fairly early in the game, and the player's own explosives are useless to cripple multiple limbs without demo expert, and they may already have adamantium skeleton without small frame. Missing Icon[]

Looks like a few articles and bits had missing icons for various reasons. I've fixed the Courier's Stash icon (was just missing the tooltip text from the table) so your userpage should be fine now. Do you know if anyone is aware that you can set multiple icons with a single template? Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 20:04, January 5, 2019 (UTC)

It's a fairly recent change with moving the template into a lua, Just took a look at the documentation and it isn't exactly clear so I put an example in. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 21:11, January 5, 2019 (UTC)

Reverted Grammatical Edits[]

Why did you revert the captialzations for the FO76 locations pages? They are proper Nouns and the whole list is inconsistent. Hotshaftenstein January 7, 2019

My mistake on the inclusion of a safe in notable loot.

I checked the editing guidelines of this wiki, the Mos and info about locations and I remain confused- map locations are not considered nouns? Some 'generic' terms are uncapped and capped? I suppose it's arbitrary in terms of content, but site-wide the style seems inconsistent.

Take 'Malden Middle School', that's all capped, but 'Suffolk County charter school' is not all capped- why is that? And they are all capped and treated as proper nouns in the games?

Locations page for power armor[]

I have been editing mainly on the Fallout 76 power armor pages. The locations sections need attention. In my experience, there are 2 types of spawn sites, Raider and T-series. The Raider sites that I have visited always have had Raider power armor, the T-series sites almost always have T-45, T-51, or T-60. On rare occasions I have seen Raider pieces with the fusion core missing. I interpret this as a player leaving the Raider pieces when taking the T-series pieces. I recommend having all locations on one page with two sections, Raider & T-series. This could be on the main power armor page or on a stand-alone page. The individual pages would have links to the appropriate section. I will begin this work, if you and the other super-editors approve. Lakewalker (talk) 16:03, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Hey, I've thought about this before and I'd support Lakewalker doing this. Maybe something like our bobbleheads page. There are just so many power armor spawns in 76. L84tea Tea kettle 20:41, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Complaint[]

I do not know if you are an administrator on this website, but I do not like this authority you seem to believe you have and the way you revert my edits with little or any explanation. Just a few minutes ago I ASKED if you were enforcing some wiki policy I didn't know about, and you responded by wordlessly reverting my edit. This is much like the row the two of us had over the page for Major Dhatri. In the course of that one, as I recall, you repeatedly referenced naval terminology- mainly in the naval use of the term "division"- and you didn't seem cooperative or diplomatic at all. If I was not at that time, I apologize for that. Every edit I make on this wiki is with the best of intentions. Reverting an edit like this is WAY too much of a first resort for people, still, here on this website. If you are an administrator I want to know who else I may complain to that is an administrator. If you are not I would like to raise this to an administrator. I would like to edit in peace and I feel harassed by you. Please stop. --90TheGeneral09 (talk) 19:48, January 20, 2019 (UTC)

Agent Grey[]

Shaw High School[]

Nuka-Cola Quantum is a notable loot at every location that I have visited on the wiki except for this one. The Two Nuka-Cola Quantums are not random, they appear in every game I played in the same spot stashed behind the Nuka-Cola vending machine, not in the vending machine. If you need references of locations that have Nuka-Cola listed as notable loot that can actual be found, not randomly found in a machine, please let me know, otherwise please undo the edit for Shaw High School notable loot. Thank you. - (Zj24 (talk) 06:18, February 2, 2019 (UTC))

  • Not sure where the disconnect on the Fallout 4 wiki is, but unless you plan on redoing 300+ locations with Nuka-Cola Quantum listed as notable loot, due to the rarity of Nuka-Cola Quantum, and typically the specific locations at which they are found, again NOT referencing those found in the vending machine, I suggest some clarity is given between the various controllers and administrators on the matter. In the mean time to keep the integrity of the wiki consistent with the other 300+ locations that have NUka-Cola Quantum listed as notable loot please re-add the notable loot for Shaw High School. - (Zj24 (talk) 17:20, February 2, 2019 (UTC))

MegaTen[]

Nice to see you again Mara. I've recently finished SMT IV for the first time and got the neutral ending, really enjoyed the game despite some grievances with overworld exploration. I couldn't manage to beat Beelzebub for the Challenge Quest though. He seriously should have been the final boss instead of Lucifer. Speaking of Lucifer, what the hell was up with his and the archangel's redesigns? And Lilith's. Their new looks didn't do it for me.

Next up is Apocalypse and Strange Journey as I have not played either of these titles. So how is Apocalypse compared to SMT IV? There's also been a remake of Strange Journey which now gives me a choice between the original DS version or the new 3DS version.

Brandon Fox (talk) 19:50, February 12, 2019 (UTC)

I did indeed the first time yeah. Well, I might have looked up a few tips before starting my playthrough since I heard alignment is very hidden in the background. Wasn't too bad though. I would have gone left everytime in the tunnel of ethics everytime through my own choice.

Well that sounds promising then, I will definitely give Apocalypse and Strange Journey a go then. There is also Catherine Full Body remake coming out either this year or next year. The original Catherine game is actually what got me into Megami Tensei in the first place. I consider it my technical first MegaTen game, it has alignments and a couple demons in it right?

Moundsville/Eastern Regional Penitentiary Redirect[]

I saw that there was a duplicate page for the aforementioned page. Because the former name is the basis of the latter and not everyone knows about the name changes in-game, I thought it would be ideal to create a redirect to make it easier for potential newcomers of Nukapedia, especially those who know the respective real-life version. About the extras I left on the redirect page, I admit that I should have removed them but was too lazy. I hope you understand my reason for the redirect. Thank you for the cleanup and consideration. ルーカス 06:00, March 6, 2019 (UTC)

Western revolver edit[]

I'm curious as to what's the specific reason why my edit to the Western revolver was reversed? Given the name, characteristics (including caliber) and in game model, the closest gun is the Colt.

Or am I just over thinking things and should have put my edit under general description instead of characteristics?

Chance's Knife[]

A fully-perked Chance's Knife with Heavy Handed does nearly half as much DPS as it does without, due to the damage bonus from heavy handed taking effect after DT, instead of before DT with crits, and the critical damage penalty from heavy handed being a multiplier, dropping the theoretical maximum critical damage multiplier down from 3.375 to 1.35. Mara, try to leave an explanation for your revert next time; it will make it easier for the other editor to understand what you think was wrong. It is by no means required, but it will probably save you considerable time. As for edit wars, reverting the other's edit isn't helpful and only fuels the edit war. And no, edit warring in itself is not a bad faith action. If you don't want to deal with the other editor, don't revert the edit and get an admin or moderator involved.
I noticed that Footwear tried to address your concerns in a series of later edits. What do you think of the current state of the paragraph?

Why revert edits but don't fix errors you so avidly complain about?[]

Hello. I'd like to ask a question.

What is the point in reverting edits but not fixing the things that were spelled or stated wrong? What is the point in even writing on this wiki if you can't even fix GRAMMATICAL ERRORS?

I tried multiple times to make the first letter in LOCATIONS to be capitalized. Yet you keep reverting it for no good reason. Uncapitalized names for locations look unprofessional and childish. What is even the point in contributing to making the intel of this wiki better when all you do is revert it and don't give a second of thought to what YOU could change if there's a problem with it? If you don't fix the issues that might not have been addressed or done correctly by someone else why bother reverting when you don't do a single thing to fix it yourself? If you really want to preserve wrong and grammatically incorrect data on a wiki than I advise leaving. Attacking me on my talk page and saying I provide wrong information is completely incorrect. I might have accidentally over linked but did you seem to fix that instead of just lazily reverting. NO. How is fixing grammatical errors in spelling and capitalization miss information? Yes, I might have been ignorant myself and incorrectly corrected a sentence or placed a comma wrong but that doesn't mean the entire page is wrong! Get a grip on how you should be doing this...

And the sense of authority you make out isn't encouraging either.

--AkselWiki (talk) 00:05, May 4, 2019 (UTC)

Edit:

"forgotten church", "capsized factory", "rocky cave". All of these locations in the Deathclaw article are un-capitalized. Sure, this is correctly spelled if you're just talking about a capsized factory. But what doesn't make sense to me is how it's supposed to be un-capitalized when it's referring to a location within Fallout 4. Writing forgotten church is only correct if you're saying that this church or that church was forgotten. When it's referring to a location named forgotten church it should be capitalized like this: Forgotten church. That is the reason why I kept reverting the changes. Because in actuality they are supposed to be capitalized because Bethesda does so, therefore, I follow their code and their way of spelling. But if you and others insist then whatever. I just think it looks wrong.

Power armor - change ballistic to damage[]

I'm confused by this change. I looked at Fallout 4 power armor and "Damage resistance" (DR) refers to the category that contains physical, energy, and radiation resistances. I could see using physical rather than ballistic, since a board, sledgehammer, or a hit by a deathclaw does not deal ballistic damage but using "damage resistance" for the first category infers that energy and radiation are not damage. See: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Damage Thanks, --Lakewalker (talk) 03:42, May 5, 2019 (UTC)

Vault-Tec Workshop DLC trailer[]

So, you recently said this in an edit summary to me on the Vault-Tec Workshop page:

"Wait for the wiki cache to clear and the replacement to take. Don’t mess with media files if you don’t know how they work."

Could you explain to me what you mean by this? I know how media files work; I administrate two other wikis and have been on Wikia for the better part of a decade now. In my experience, the only way to "fix" unavailable videos is to delete them completely and reupload them. Judging from the history of the unavailable trailer, that video has only been uploaded here once in 2016, and has not been re-uploaded with a new, working upload since. I waited a day to see if this was some wiki cache refresh you alluded to, and I even tried it on multiple PCs. It's still unavailable. XxTimberlakexx (talk) 05:33, May 8, 2019 (UTC)

Plant locations revert spree[]

Great. So I added useful information on total plants in the Commonwealth and you reverted it all. You are destroying information and destroying work. If you feel it does not conform to the Item - Location sub-policy, which is about six words long and doesn't read as exhaustive or exclusive, then why not move the information to somewhere you think is suitable, and add a policy or amend the existing one, rather than destroy information and destroy work? You certainly create a powerful disincentive for anyone to contribute to the wiki. I am not surprised many of the pages I've updated tonight are in an inconsistent state. A more civilised response would have been to point me to the subpolicy and wait for a response instead of going on a revert spree. The revert spree really is quite antisocial. Why protonic inversal throwing axes are not notable?[]

I just checked the notable loot policy you cited. It says that, in order to be considered notable, a item must fit into at least one of the categories below:

  • Uniqueness or rarity;
  • High monetary value;
  • Used in repeatable quests and found in substantial amounts;
  • Oversized or undersized variants of otherwise non-notable items;
  • Notably high amounts of otherwise non-notable items
  • Holodisks and notes

If that is true, then the protonic inversal throwing axe are more than qualified to be classified as notable, fitting into at least two of the categories:

  • According to its own article, they are classified as "unique," because only a limited number of them exist within the game;
  • They worth twice more than their non-notable variant, the proton throwing axe.

So, may I reference them again in the Little Yangtze article, please? Jeanioz (talk) 18:32, July 20, 2019 (UTC)

When the protonic inversal throwing axes were excluded from the notable policy? They don't have high count, since their own article says:

  • It is very possible to only find less than 10 in the whole game, while at most finding around 20-25, as there is only one guaranteed location to find them and that will only get you 5, while every other location they are found is entirely random, their limited availability is quite similar to the mini nuke, only much more random.

So, it cannot be considered "high count" by any way! Is there any way to reconsider the case, and include the axes in the notable policy again?

Also, the axes are still considered notable in some articles, like in the X-17 meteorological station article, for example.

Sorry my persistence, but I actually replaying FNV right now and I really don't like miss notable loot. I cannot allow a consensus of silence this time.Jeanioz (talk) 19:10, July 20, 2019 (UTC)

I'm completely with you in regards to the unproductive edit-warring without discussion that the people who put that edit were engaging in, but I am slightly confused on the issue. Pump action shotgun[]

The reason the name of the gun is backwards is because the whole gun is backwards. The serial number is also backwards, why? The gun was modeled as a right handed gun, then switched over to look cooler as a left handed gun by scaling the mesh by -1, they did the same thing with the hunting rifle. But the UV's were also carried over, so when the completed textures of a right handed gun appear on a now inverted model, the text is backwards. Believe your own lying eyes, the name is supposed to be there, they simply made an aesthetic change to the model which ruined the textures, and they never went back to clean them up. Toyzkillah (talk) 01:53, August 9, 2019 (UTC)

We are to believe the serial number is intentionally backwards but the name is mistakenly put on the weapons. Please revert the changes to reflect the truth of the matter in game. Toyzkillah (talk) 02:22, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
If textures can not be relied on as pieces of information this has implications for a range of items where all we know of some companies is what they have produced. If you would like I could maybe create a video detailing these step to better demonstrate. As it stands though occam's razor, the textures are reversed on both sides, the mesh was likely reversed - instead of your opinion that someone created a series of words which have never been assembled in the English language before, placed them on a texture intentionally, but this texture was never meant to have this text on it. Toyzkillah (talk) 02:28, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
The only assumption is that the name is not intended to be on the gun. The reality is that in game a shotgun has a texture where the words are inverted but read 'Remington'. The is no assumptions or speculation on intent, I have only created information based off what is in game. Just as the chainsaw says 'Remington' so does this shotgun.Toyzkillah (talk) 02:36, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
The way we know this is a Remington shotgun is because it says so on the gun. Please, I am not making any of this up, I'm reporting it as is in game. After all...

I'll have to reflect on what was going on inside of my head to prevent it from happening again. If you don't want to respond that's fine, I just want to get this off my chest.

Sorry[]

I am sorry, I am new to this whole editing thing, It wasn't in my intentions to mess things up, I just wanted to fix and add some info but as I said, I am new, I don't know how this whole thing works but I am learning

Editing[]

The only person edit 'warring' here is you. Please stop it now and move on. I added information to the article that was missing. You felt the need to remove it and turn it into a 'war', not me. I suggest that you stop now. Commorancy (talk) 21:16, October 6, 2019 (UTC)

Lanius 7'1"[]

Lanius isn't canonically a specific height in the real world, where did this information come from? 141.161.133.61 00:52, October 15, 2019 (UTC)

Why did you undo my edit about the legendary glowing ghoul I put that to warn other players because it came out of nowhere. ~BigRed81~

People stop apologizing and kissing her ass she's a passive aggressive bully who has no regard for anyone. Report her and keep it moving. She obviously has no life...it's sad and pathetic. ~BigRed81~

Question about edits[]

Hey, i noticed you changed some of the things I've added to some weapons pages. I wasn't aware of the ordering in the wiki, so i was just putting them in the order they appear on my screen in-game, I wasnt meaning to mess them up in any way. I have a question about adding more info tho, if I'm not sure where they go in the order, should i just add them to the bottom of the list? Lords of This Land (talk) 02:10, December 16, 2019 (UTC)
