76 or 78?[]
I was pretty sure that the text reads Remington 78, not 76. But if someone has clearer text of it, please feel free to edit it back to 76. BillyH666 (talk) 06:17, November 11, 2018 (UTC)
- I think this screenshot by L84tea shows the second number resembling a '6'. 76 would also make more sense then the gun would be a 2076 model fallowing naming conventions in real life.Toyzkillah (talk) 13:48, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
Remington?[]
To recap, Toyzkillah and Great Mara have been discussing whether this gun should be considered a Remington because the logo is on there mirrored and it is not clear why and it's not clear whether it's intentional.
I've discussed this shortly on Discord and my verdict is as follows: Regardless of whether it was an error and what kind of error it was, if we avoid speculation we can only conclude that it is currently there and therefore counts as a Remington, at least until we have explicit indication that it should not be there. I feel that saying the logo's presence is a developer error is speculative. I do think we should note at every opportunity that the Remington logo is mirrored. For example, on the Remington page we shouldn't say "This gun was made by them." but "This gun was made by them, though the logo is on it mirrored." Consider it a citation or justification of the claim.

- I support that the gun should be included on the Remington page as it appears on the gun, though mirrored. It should also be mentioned that the serial number on the other side is also mirrored, it seems to me whatever issue is affecting the texture clearly affects the whole of the texture. - After closer inspection of the logo and looking at the logo on the chainsaw (see image on the right) I found that the producer isn't actually called Remington, it's Romington. I think this resolves the issue Mara had with the real-world Remington Firearms not producing chainsaws. I've renamed the Remington page to Romington.

Looks like a developer's texture error, would say flipping it is valid, making it Romington then. Jspoel
