Hey, I'm DirtyBlue929, aka the Dirty Blue Dog, aka that guy what used to be really active here then basically dropped off the face of the earth. I doubt I'll ever be coming back in any significant capacity unless I decide to reclaim the mantle of The FO4 Character Image Guy™ that I briefly attempted to take up way, way back in the day, lol. My advice to newbies -- don't let yourself get drowned in the drama. It's just a videogame website. You can leave whenever you want.

Modding[]

There was a period where I got really into Fallout 4 modding, which is something I may or may not come back to eventually. Here's a list of mods I've released on Nexus so far; most of these are just things that I got fed up waiting for someone else to make:

• Better Weapon Diversity for CHW: Companion piece for Classic Holstered Weapons, reworking vanilla levelled lists so that certain NPCs who logically wouldn't use pipe weapons don't, as well as generally increasing the diversity of weapons for generic town inhabitants in Diamond City and Goodneighbor.
• Cut Content Restored - Dirty PreWar Clothes: Exactly what it sounds like. I found some unused textures for dirty versions of a few outfits and reimplemented them, with a little distribution to places I thought it appropriate.
• SS2 - Blue's Minutemen Flag Pack: Minutemen-themed flag pack for Sim Settlements 2. Each design inspired by a specific in-game settlement. A standalone version is available here.
• Disco-Ass Suit: A Disco Elysium-themed outfit for all the badass Superstars out there keeping it REAL.

Old NCR Flag project[]

Saw the old (and I mean old) "recreation" of the Fo2 NCR flag while browsing and decided to actually do a side-by-side for accuracy. Saw a fair number of issues in coloration, orientation of objects, dimensions, etc and tried my hand at an improved version over the course of two days. Overall much improved IMO but the bear is the biggest problem; original was clearly hand drawn by the texture artist who created the 3D render they used to make the ending slide it comes from and no amount of morphing on a clipart version of the IRL Cali flag's bear will make it match perfectly. Leaving a bearless version of the project here for any artists who want to try their hand at an accurate version of the bear:

The desaturated original, for reference. I used a cropped, rotated, and saturated version of it as a reference throughout the process of making this.

Hall of Departed Images[]

Fairly inaccurate re-creation of a very inconsistent and blobby design from Fallout 3 concept art. Replaced by a collage of the original concept art's four depictions of it.

Old version of our FO3 Brotherhood flag rendition with incorrect coloration. Replaced by a version with slightly more accurate colors.

EDIT FROM YEARS LATER: This list is probably way outdated now. Don't have the time or inclination to go through and update it. But let it be a lesson to look at the sources on old pages for old games, and make sure that Nuka isn't unknowingly stealing someone else's words because an editor got lazy a decade ago!

My Mistake[]

Most unfortunate. I've been out of the loop for a long time thus I wasn't aware of any such changes. I wasn't even aware that they made a TV show until just recently. In any event, my apologies.

P.S. As for that last part, believe me when I tell you that I'm coping really hard, right now. Jokes aside, here's hoping that Todd changes course before he wrecks the franchise beyond any hope of recovery. Cheers.
