Buddha[]

Is that right? My apologies then, I could have sworn I've seen him still active these past few days. I'll go ahead and remove his block if this is truly the case. Dragon Skål! 23:23, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

I appreciate you pointing that out to me then. I don't want to ban a user for something they were already banned for. I've already unblocked him and he's free to edit once again. Dragon Skål! 23:31, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Deathclaw pro hunter - Questions[]

Hi there.

I am trying to learn the ropes here, so a few learning questions on above edit.

  • do I put this into the NV exploit section now?
  • what exactly constitutes an exploit? the exploit section covers more abstract exploits to my mind (like getting unlimited caps or xp or making otherwise impossible climbs). On the other hand I have seen numerous articles containing hints to more easy routes to solving a quest that might be more of a story-telling bug.
  • I labelled this cheat/bug. does this go into the bug section then? not sure if it is actually a cheat either, as above question.
  • I was trying to avoid putting in anything amounting to strategy. I just felt the note needed some explanation on how this works.
  • Any point in explaining how this was encountered/verified as comments in the code?

Cheers, Saradoc 21:56, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

Proxy[]

Yes, this is getting quite annoying. I've already had to ban 5 IPs. Hopefully they'll just get bored and leave soon. Dragon Skål! 18:39, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

Persistent bastard. Hate to say this, but I'm going to have to leave soon. I went into chat though and asked them to help you out with reverting any further vandalism attempts. Hopefully that will help out a little. Dragon Skål! 18:45, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

Charnel House[]

I am aware of that. However, all marked locations are to be capitalised as they are on the Pip-Boy. -ΣΔLet's talk! 21:26, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

I believe it was Kris who said that. I remember seeing it too, on many move logs. Even for the charnel house one he moved it before. -ΣΔLet's talk! 21:33, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, let's ask J, since Kris isn't here anymore. That would be best, I think. -ΣΔLet's talk! 21:41, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

( Because it's a map marker I would cap the article page, Charnel House, and also in the article itself. Locations on local maps can be decapped, like Nelson house. But I know others want to decap locations if it's not a proper noun, so then it would be Charnel house as the article name as well as in the article itself. I don't get myself involved too much with this and leave it mostly like it is. Both is good. We've had already some discussion about earlier (some months ago), might be worth making a clear policy on that finally. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:17, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

See? I told you. Just kidding, it was good to have this sorted out. -ΣΔLet's talk! 22:19, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

Looks like we rushed to give J a history lesson at the same time :P -ΣΔLet's talk! 23:12, March 18, 2012 (UTC)

Mister...[]

I don't think that pluralisation is correct. I changed them because they're name is "Mister Gutsy" and "Mister Handy", and it should stay that way, and simply adding an "s" to indicate plurality. You wouldn't say "Billies" or "Timmies", right? Otherwise, we could just put "Mister Handy appears in Fallout: New Vegas, and likewise with Mister Gusty if you want. -ΣΔLet's talk! 19:01, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

I am aware of that (the terminal entries), but those were written in colloquialism by an excuse of a mayor, which doesn't make that choice so grammatically correct. I do see your point though. Shall we get a mediator? -ΣΔLet's talk! 19:06, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

Table colors[]

Hey, Mara. What I'm trying to do is keep some consistency within all the weapons pages. All of the FO3 comparison tables had the weapon whose page the table was on highlighted yellow (or ochre?). All of the FONV tables that had been done before I added the rest had the unigues highlighted green just like on the main weapon list tables. When I made the rest of the NV tables, I was using the table color conventions from the FO3 pages I had just finished and didn't notice the differences. I was then left with a choice:

  1. Leave them the way they were, with a mix of formats on the NV pages, which I didn't like at all.
  2. Change them to the FO3 format where the highlighted weapon was the one whose page you were on.
  3. Change them to the NV format where it showed what was unique.

I felt that since the main aim of the table was to compare the current page's weapon to others in it's repair class it was more important to highlight the weapon the page was on. I justified this to myself with the rationale that the uniques were clearly delineated in the list of variants directly above the table and that the FO3 format was more intuitive on tables that had more than just two weapons. I'm open to suggestions, but I feel that all the FO3 and FONV comparison tables should be the same, regardless of which format is used, and since there were far fewer NV tables to change, I figured I'd do those.

PS Have you considered asking for patroller rights? I reckon you check the weapons pages just like I do, and if you had patroller rights that would be less edits that need to be patrolled since yours wouldn't show on the patrol log. The Gunny 380px-USMC-E7 svg 20:54, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

PPS What do you think about the recent edits on Euclid's C-finder page? Does any of that have merit to stay? The Gunny 380px-USMC-E7 svg 21:13, March 19, 2012 (UTC)
You didn't respond about the tables. I'd like to get editing on the rest of them unless you have any objections. The Gunny 380px-USMC-E7 svg 22:10, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks[]

Just noticed the vandalism in my page history. Thanks for fixing it. Paladin117 Talk iff bored 17:12, March 22, 2012 (UTC)

User rights update[]

Hey Great Mara. Just to let you know, your user rights have been changed to include the "patroller" right too, so now edits you make will automatically be marked as patrolled. -SigmaDelta54(Talk) 23:22, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

Haha, it just means on admins' recent changes logs, all your edits will be "patrolled" edits already. In addition, you can mark other edits as patrolled if they are good, valid edits that haven't been marked already. And work on the brain all day can be quite strenuous, make sure you get your rest ;) -SigmaDelta54(Talk) 01:48, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm...[]

Haha, so other people do still use {{Rwwr}}! SigmaDelta54 (Talk) 22:54, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

Caught you using it again ;) Don't worry, I did it once too SigmaDelta54 (Talk) 23:43, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

Oh Baby[]

I've gone in there in two different games and it is not there until I start the quest. If I remember right the quest is a condition for it to appear as well. Just verified, the super mutant that carries it is not there pre-quest.--Kingclyde 18:59, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

Fallout: New Vegas companions[]

Did you even see the results of my edit? My edit made it look exactly as intended (with 2 columns) without doubling up on the first * and the first column still being indented. Rappy 19:43, April 19, 2012 (UTC)

No, your edit left them in an off kilter stack when they were supposed to be in a straight line like all of the other pages that use that template. :/ User:Great_MaraMessage 20:09, April 19, 2012 (UTC)

(reset indent) *shrug* The differences are too subtle to really notice.

Previous edit

  • Most companions wear a weapon that's named after the companion. They share the same main characteristics as the generally named weapon and only differ in name.

My Edit

  • Most companions wear a weapon that's named after the companion. They share the same main characteristics as the generally named weapon and only differ in name.

My edit with :* for all of them

  • Most companions wear a weapon that's named after the companion. They share the same main characteristics as the generally named weapon and only differ in name.

If you'd rather it be one-column instead, that's fine. I was just correcting the double star and assumed the slight margin differences was OK. Rappy 20:43, April 19, 2012 (UTC)

Jury Rigging[]

Check out the template documentation for {{Icon}}. Where it lists available icons the jury rigging one is replaced by the question mark image, which would explain why all the articles with the {{Icon|jury}} template display it. There's an error with the original jury rigging image that was to be the icon. SigmaDelta54 (Talk) 01:07, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

I fixed it. Now as soon as someone edits one of the pages with the question mark icon, it'll update back to the original jury rigging icon. SigmaDelta54 (Talk) 01:12, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
The issue stems from J importing the latest revision of the template from The Vault, where we no longer use the icons in the infobox as we have updated the infobox to a newer design. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 01:17, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

ringo[]

excuse me? dude... the edit i made is accurate, and the implied strategy has been omitted. why are you deleting my edit now? ~~~kev~~~

  • the proper expression is: "i'd thank you to actually read..." and, actually, i did read it. i'm not "trying to find loopholes", i'm trying to add accurate and meaningful information concerning this character. why are you being such an anal prick about it? why don't you just politely explain exactly what is wrong with my edit instead of making antagonistic assumptions about me and brashly removing my edits? ~~~kev~~~
  • look man, you were the one who started insulting me. obviously, you are having a bad day. I REMOVED ALL that could possibly be construed as STRATEGY and stripped the edit down to bare objective facts. you really need to calm down. take a nap or something. an outburst like that is not healthy. ~~~kev~~~
