About[]
Hi! I'm Skire (pronounced "Skee-reh" (from Latin scio, scire, scivi, scitum - "to know"). I'm an administrator here so if you have any questions or need to contact me for any reason, you can post on my talk page. I'm a college student from Boston who first got into Fallout when FO3 came out in 2008. For me, it was not only one of my favourite games at the time, but also the time when I found this site, as I often had to look for help in-game. Ever since then, I've felt a passion in contributing by editing and now, by administration.
I am here as a servant of the community and it is a privilege to be able to have an administrator position. This is not a position of authority or power but an honour, that I'm able to do what I can in helping this wiki and the users who visit it.
I also run a bot and a courier service. If you have any jobs that need to be done by either, please let me know on my talk page.

Although I've been wanting to try out the earlier Fallout games, my experience is limited to FO3 and FNV. I am actually a big fan of Fallout 3, which at this site has received much criticism for various reasons. Many elements of the game seem to be too low in quality and depth, such as the constricted storyline, rather static characters, the East Coast BoS etc. But I appreciate the setting and atmosphere - it seemed very "wastelandy" to me. There was more despair, more destruction, more immorality. And that was something that New Vegas had lacked - there was more of a danger element; it was more uncivilised.
Fallout: New Vegas on the other hand was a very different experience. The game was focused more on politics and gave the player freedom to side with a faction and make impacting decisions. Many aspects expanded upon Fallout 3's, such as weapon and consumable variety, crafting, etc. The characters (especially companions) were more dynamic and overall more interesting. I also believe the factions were very well-made, with contrasting values and outward appearances all vying for the region's land and resources. Overall these two games were very different and playing both of them, in my opinion, gives the best post-apocalyptic experience.
