On the green button at the top of the page that says leave message, click the arrow for the drop down menu with more option including archive. Its fully automated once you pick what you want to achieve. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 21:22, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

Graham's Handgun page[]

I'm not quite sure why the Biblical part needs to be removed. Regardless of what anyone's opinion of it is, I'm agnostic myself, but a cultural reference is a cultural reference, whether or not you like what the reference is to, I'm not just pulling it out of my ass. FinalWish 02:30, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, okay. I looked at the diff page but I guess I didn't really pay attention to it. Sorry. FinalWish 02:37, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

I was curious why the Colt 1911 part was taken off? That's not speculation, and I'm not trying to argue or get blocked or anything here. I just want to know why it was removed. Seems anything I try to add gets removed instantly, when it's just obviously a 1911, anyone that has handled one will tell you the same thing. I own one that Looks exactly like this without the snakeskin and the rustic feel, but Stainless Steel, .45 ACP. Rebel AE

I won't be online for the next 2 hours, having other obligations. Try to contact another admin if the vandal returns. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 18:19, May 16, 2011 (UTC)

Honest Hearts DLC[]

No I'm afraid I don't, the reason I renamed it was because it was all decapitalised before, and as a proper noun this was incorrect. I think "Light Shining in the Darkness" is correct from what I have seen since the move. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 16:18, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

.223 ammo of That Gun[]

Tell me please what's the difference is. These are the same rounds as far as I know.

Thanks for correcting me! I looked up in the german wiki because german is my mother tongue and this article doesn't feature the .223 Remington article and it says for civil use the 5.56m is called .223 Remington. I just changed the language without looking, my fault -.-

Not sure who to let know[]

Unfortunately, I don't have Honest Hearts yet so I can't check which name is correct either. Guess we'll have to wait until somebody comes along who can clarify. -- Porter21 (talk) 21:24, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

Re: .45 auto submachinegun[]

I understand why they want to keep speculation out of the article, however if you look at the model it is an exact scale replica, I think that might warrant mentioning. It wasn't 'inspired by' or 'a reference to' it's an exact replica to the scale inch. Wintermut3 22:00, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Image[]

Its is just wikia bugging out on new images, it does it from time to time and auto corrects after a while. If you look at recent images, half the new ones arnt even showing atm. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 22:44, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

You cant, not until it stops bugging it out. Trying to add it again will only result in the same thing happening. I would worry, once it stops I will most likely go around and do all the images. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:14, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Background[]

how did you make that brotherhood backround for your page? Primmslimshady 23:41, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yep, everything that surrounds {{Editcounts}} is part of the coding for the background images. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:57, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
I split them on my PC and then uploaded them separately. If the images are different dimensions, then you need to adjust there position based on there size. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 00:43, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

An editor's worst nightmare[]

You and me both, although you know what it's like at times, you make an extensive edit and press submit a little too quickly, then you realise the text "edit conflict" in the loading bar and you absolutely want to shoot yourself in the face. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 18:08, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

I have this many a time, simply hitting backspace take you back a page to your edit so you don't lose it (or at least it does in Chrome). Only time it is an issue is when Wikia just isn't loading. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 18:16, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
Nope, it takes you back to your edit prior to the submit, then you can copy and paste in the new edit, saves all the ctrl+a and ctrl+c all the time. I know I do it a weird way, but it works for me. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 18:21, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
This has worked for me a few times, but hasn't at other times so I'm not sure if its my own mistake or if it's an unreliable method. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 18:30, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, it works if you click the Back button of your browser, you'll return to your edit. I use Opera most of the time, but it should work with any browser. GobTheGoul 21:31, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Vandal[]

thanks for fixing the .32 pistol page. I tried to undo the vandalism but the anon kept messing with it while I was editing or something like that. I just dont want people to think it was me who vandalized the page.

Hello Great Mara ;)

Ho yes of course, but those of Bar27262 appears to me strange, all of these are exactly the same as mine with the same sentence and the same images, why do such a thing? I'm just asking =)!

Problem[]

Hello my friend ;)

Thank you for warned me! The user was temporarily banned for one week due to repeated vandalizing and the page protected. Would you still have your user page and talk page protected =)? Itachou [~talk~] 23:20, May 28, 2011 (UTC)

It's ok, your two pages (user and talk) are protected ;).
For proxies you're right, looking at the history of Three Dog page, many people have vandalized, using almost the same style of language and complete sentences on the other. So I think the next punishment for vandalizing this page will be more important. Keep up the good work, nice evening and see you soon Great Mara =)! Itachou [~talk~] 23:32, May 28, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, user ban again and Kevobk's page protected ;). Itachou [~talk~] 23:38, May 28, 2011 (UTC)

.44 magnum revolver (Fallout: New Vegas)[]

Hello Mara ;)

Well seen my friend! Yes I also seen this symbol, you say it's a S&W symbol like in this magnum: [1], but I think it's more like a colt symbol: [2].

Despite that, the symbol compared to the .32 pistol is in very bad quality, I don't think we can't said that this weapon is make by this company or not (despite there is a great chance it's colt).

Sadly, I think only Josh Sawyer could confirm that =). Itachou [~talk~] 20:42, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

Vandal[]

I see your message in Jspoelstra talk page. It's done, user banned =). Nice evening and see you soon! Itachou [~talk~] 02:48, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

Weapon condition companion[]

Hey, that's a good one. I don't know to be honest. Why don't you try and find out :) ? Enemies everywhere, so it shouldn't be too hard. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 22:20, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

alright well thanks for the info, just calm down that i didnt see the release date before ypou, i havent heard about it, so Sorry, its not a rant btw, i was just stating my view and from what i know, if i sounded "rant like" in my message then, my bad, but it was clearly not a rant, thx again for the release date, its finally good to hear Somthing at least

Sniper rifle[]

Yes, I think it has the silencer on it. The filename has -mod- in it, so that's why. And I found another sniper rifle sound file which sounds very different, louder. I think that's the one without the silencer. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 17:31, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

Bailey[]

I'll have a look at it tomorrow.JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 00:55, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

  • You're right. I made a disambig page for it. Don't know if Marsha's his wife or daughter, so I left that in the middle. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 16:52, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Signature[]

This is a really strange one, and I haven't encountered this problem before. I changed my signature to yours to test it, and the same thing happened to me, and when I changed it back to my original signature the problem was gone. The only real difference between our signatures is that my first image is gif, but that can't be the cause. I did some research on the internet and although I found some people who had mentioned the problem, nobody offered a solution. However, this issue is harmless, and there is nothing wrong with your signature so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, you aren't doing something wrong. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 23:41, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

It may be because your original images are significantly larger than mine, try uploading smaller versions and see if the problem persists. Because I don't know exactly how the activity feed works it's hard to determine a cause. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 23:47, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
Image will show up in the feed up to point that they appear in more than certain amount of pages (100 I believe). At that point it no longer shows up as an added image in the feed. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:51, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
There you are then, problem solved. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 23:53, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Are they that dissimilar? I do not think so. Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 21:38, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

  • Ah, that's true. I bow to your superior judgement ;).

about my edit on ring-a-ding-ding[]

Might I ask why you reverted it? I tested it in game and it does conclude ring-a-ding. did I miss a note with the same information somewhere else or is there another reason?

Regarding Blog message.[]

No,no she was very open about everything, thats why I was surprised she didn't tell me. We had quite the conversation, I'm guessing I need to specifically ask her, even though it seems like a bad idea.

Luger[]

Just to let you know, I didn't put that on it was some 'Shadysomething' guy. I didn't know that, but he just kind of dumped it there so I blindly sorted it out. Not a problem either, I was going to say to him that I thought it looked misplaced and to link it instead, but I got distracted. Thanks for the heads up though. Not a problem, and thanks again. Should I tell him or will you? TheGuardianCalligraphyGuardianoftheWastesTag

Not a problem at all, see you around :) TheGuardianCalligraphyGuardianoftheWastesTag

GhostAvatarBot[]

At the moment it is set to about 250 common fixes so far (i.e. de-capping, page formatting, removing unneeded white space etc.), plus loads of common spelling errors and corrections. As for ammo, it should only affect free-form text within the page and not within the infobox tamplates. Seems I missed that one as it should be ammo for the weapons infobox (templates use shorthand for ease of use). I just need to add it to the false positives to prevent further errors. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 22:37, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

Weapon references[]

So you are supposed to remove those? I was just warning the guy about it but I wasnt 100% sure so I didnt take it down.. --Battlecattle 19:49, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

I'll be looking out for those from now on then, thanks. --Battlecattle 19:57, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Pulse gun[]

Is it? I've never heard it called that. I just changed the name and somehow messed up the transcluded section. If that is really the name, please change it back, but I've never heard that. BILLYOCEAN 03:01, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Cartman took care of it. I see the source for circuitbreaker, too, but I dont think that should be the name of the gun. Cheers. BILLYOCEAN 03:04, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Editing[]

I wasn't trying to boost for achievements, I simply thought at the time that the period was incorrect, so I changed the punctuation. - Charcoal121

Nightkin sniper[]

Wouldn't it be capitalized because that's its name? I understand the plural nightkin part, just not that --Battlecattle 08:43, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

I see, so should the page names for the nightkin all be un-capitalized? Like the Nightkin master, etc?

Graham[]

Allright, thanks. I think he will get the message I sent him. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 22:40, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Patch 1.6[]

I just downloaded it today for the PS3, and when the message came up that a new patch was available it said 1.6 :/ You had me second guess myself, so I actually deleted my game file, redownloaded it and then redownloaded the patch again, to see the 1.6....so yes it's 1.6 (or at least it is on my PS3) --Zachary Solt 03:28, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Magnum[]

I'm really not sure; Magnum is capitalized when used to entitle a person or when talking about handguns, but the rest of the 'magnums' around The Vault are lowercase, so I would move .357 magnum revolver long barrel to '.357 magnum revolver long barrel'. Kastera (talk) 19:07, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Surgeon's outfit[]

A good place to check would be the doctor walking around Novac, her outfit is blood spattered. I'm pretty sure they're both bloody, and the merc grunt outfit is the non bloody one. But please do check. I'd hate to make a mistake on the page. Yes Man default 06:00, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

Good work, thanks for clearing that up. Should we have separate pictures on the wasteland outfit page for each outfit, or is it fine as it is? Yes Man default 06:43, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • That sucks, is there anyone that would have that info handy, for some reason?
  • So only if it's part of a proper noun, but what's the Vault policy on it? That was what I was asking about if anyone knew it --BattlecattleBeware4sig 05:16, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
