Background[]
Scientists, like many others, re-entered Appalachia after the recession of the Scorched Plague. They have interests in researching the post-apocalyptic world, and can potentially be found in various random encounters.
One encounter involves a male and female scientist at a campfire who are researching environmental/soil damage and wildlife mutations in the Forest, respectively. Another encounter involves a scientist and a soldier, also at a campfire, who talk about their mutual partnership.
