The lever-action rifle is a weapon in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor.

Lever-action rifle expanded

The lever-action rifle has a 5-round tube magazine, fed by a loading gate on the left side of the receiver and chambered for .45-70 Government rounds.

The barrel may be customized with short or long ported barrels. Unlike other rifles, recon scopes are not available for this weapon, nor are there any mods that improve reloading speed. However, it may be fitted with a compensator to reduce recoil or a suppressor to reduce the noise of its shots.

Locations[]

  • Far Harbor (add-on) Occasionally wielded by trappers.
  • Far Harbor (add-on) Allen Lee typically has one or two in his vendor inventory at Far Harbor which he restocks every two to three days.
  • Far Harbor (add-on) Legendary versions of this weapon may appear in both the Commonwealth and the Island once Far Harbor is installed.

Notes[]

  • Though the long barrel mod will visually extend the weapon length, the ammunition capacity remains at 5 rounds regardless.
  • Unlike similar lever-action weapons in Fallout: New Vegas like the cowboy repeater and trail carbine, regardless of how many rounds are fired, the player character will load the entire 5-shot cartridge as if the gun were empty. Also unlike lever-action weapons from New Vegas, the reload sequence cannot be interrupted and a partially filled cartridge used. This is due to the rifle sharing the same reload mechanic as any other gun.
  • When firing the rifle in third person view, the rifle's hammer does not visibly lock back.
  • On the cover of Astoundingly Awesome Tales issue #2 (The Starlet Sniper), a type of lever-action sniper rifle can be seen used by the Starlet Sniper.
