An improvised bomb placed by the Vault 32 Vault door is used by the Vault 32 raider as leverage to keep the Vault 33 dweller hostages in line. Once Hank MacLean surrenders himself to the raiders' leader Lee Moldaver and is taken out of there alongside the raiders. Moldavor then activates the improvised bomb with a remote control button, and moments later, the bomb explodes.
