Enclave retrieval operations encampment

The Enclave retrieval operations encampment is a location in the Commonwealth in 2287.

It was added into the game as part of its next-gen patch, along with the Western Enclave encampment, Eastern Enclave encampment and Southern Enclave encampment.

Background[]

This discrete encampment has been set up by the Enclave for the express purpose of recovering equipment lost by the Enclave. Together with surveillance reports every two weeks, the detachment was to identify locations of missing gear by a combination of reconnaissance, coercion, torture, and other "effective" methods, and eliminate any witnesses. Follow up actions were to recover the items and dispose of any witnesses.^[1]

During its occupation, the Enclave has interrogated several victims, including a trader who pointed them towards Pyro, a local raider who took the armor from an Enclave deserter, and the ownership of a heavy incinerator by the Forged. Other efforts have also revealed that an X-02 power armor set has been taken to the Commonwealth by a deserter, as well as large amounts of fusion cores and plasma weapons within the area of operations. Standing orders were to kill civilians and steal their cores, as well as eliminate any Gunners to recover plasma weapons and ammunition, tactical situation permitting. All confrontation with the Brotherhood was to be avoided.^[2]

Layout[]

This outpost is located beneath a collapsed part of the superhighway system crossing the Commonwealth, near The Slog. It is occupied by a pair of light infantry troops and a powered armor trooper, and is the kick-off point for Echoes of the Past, as a trail of an ambushed caravan terminates at the outpost.
