Echoes of the Past is a quest in Fallout 4. It was added as Creation Club content on April 25, 2024 with the next-gen update, alongside a slew of content focusing on the Enclave, previously absent from the game aside from brief mentions. It is a part of the Enclave Remnants pack.
Quick walkthrough[]
A caravan is said to have gone missing, you go to the location and discover the Enclave were the perpetrators in their disappearance, searching a nearby terminal after wiping out the Enclave soldiers, a beacon is revealed which leads to their base, following it through to the Glowing Sea and wiping them all out while also under lockdown from the Commanding Officer, soon they are wiped out as the souls of the caravan were.
Detailed walkthrough[]
The quest begins between Saugus Ironworks and the Slog, once on the bridge headed to the marker, the player should be able to spot an Enclave Barrier to the left, following the bloodtrail takes them to the encampment of a small team of Enclave troopers, one clad in Hellfire Power armor.

Eliminating them soon reveals on the status of said missing caravan, which are found among the bodies and the player is tasked with searching a terminal nearby and downloading a homing beacon, sending the player to the Glowing Sea.
Once at the Edge of the Glowing sea, the player will receive a broadcast labelled 'Enclave Homing Beacon', tune to it and move throughout the Glowing Sea. (Signal Strength used to locate target), further exploration discovers the Atlantic Offices building is the headquarters of the Enclave, clearing them is soon advised.
Once you walk through the opening that's located on the Eastern side of the building, a lockdown is triggered and the key is required to end said lockdown. Travelling further into the facility shows multiple power armor clad hostiles, so killing the Colonel (Elias) allows you to acquire his password and the Enclave colonel uniform on him. Further analysis indicates there are more Enclave encampments across the Commonwealth, once ending the lockdown. The sounds of an vertibird assault squad can be heard and headed to the player's location. Further eliminating the enemies assures victory over the Enclave forces.

If the player has already obtained one of the "artifacts" stolen from the Enclave (the X-02 power armor by completing the quest Speak of the Devil, the heavy incinerator by completing the quest Crucible, or the Hellfire power armor by completing the quest Pyromaniac), they will be ambushed by an Enclave attack team composed of at least three Enclave soldiers, one of them an Enclave Hellfire trooper equipped with Hellfire power armor, or a Legendary Enclave Hellfire trooper equipped with X-02 power armor. The Hellfire trooper also carries the note Squad leader's orders. Reading the note will trigger the quest and will direct the player to a marker right east of the Slog. From there, the quest will proceed as described above.
