City hall is a location within the flooded city center of Atlantic City in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: Atlantic City update part two, America's Playground.
Background[]
Originally the center of municipal governance for Atlantic City, since the fall of Carly Day, it is the seat of the city's reformed municipal government under the leadership of Mayor Timothy Lane. Pipes and pumps run through the building, keeping it dry, purifying water, and generating power. It also houses the offices and infrastructure supporting Muni activities, like the radio dispatch center, IRS armory, and other essential elements of the city's functions.
Due to the amount of moisture and water, it has constant problems with mold.[1]
Layout[]
The city hall is divided into three main sections: The lobby, the central hall, and the rear assembly room. The lobby is the most heavily defended area, with wire mesh barriers, metal detectors, etc. Pete Rutledge stands by the central passageway, with crafting stations to the side. Upstairs, on the right-hand side of the building, is Buttercup and his office, the seat of IRS power.
The central area is dominated by a giant apparatus responsible for the pumping, with Frieda Lane constantly moving around its base and working with the gear, easily recognizable by her yellow hard hat. The assembly chamber is filled with apparatus, radios, and civilians milling about. Mayor Lane is in the back, behind the lectern of the speaker, while Anna Barone works the radio near the left-hand exit. The seats were removed and piled up to the sides to make way for the equipment.
The observers' gallery is filled with miscellaneous gear.
