Casey was a volunteer with the Responders at Morgantown Airport.
Background[]
Casey attempted to help two young travelers from Sutton after they arrived in Morgantown. However, because of his lack of training, he accidentally caused their deaths. This incident prompted Dassa Ben-Ami to create a system for "Volunteer Candidates," who would be trained in the basics of survival before becoming a volunteer. Feeling guilty over what happened, Casey decided to travel to the Savage Divide to spend time alone and "clear his head."[1]
