"The one who disappeared during Partition, my great-grandmother Aisha?"
―Kamala Khan to Sana Ali[src]

Aisha was a being from the Noor Dimension who was exiled into the Earthly Plane along with four others. Forming the Clandestines, they searched for a pair of bangles that could return them home. In 1942, the Clandestines found one of the bangles in a temple in India. However, Aisha was separated from the team after the British Armed Forces attacked the temple. She fled to a village in Bombay where she met Hasan, falling in love with him and bearing a daughter named Sana.

However, in 1947, during the Partition of India, Aisha was threatened by her former teammate Najma, who had managed to locate her. Aisha left the village with her husband and daughter and traveled to the train station, where she was stabbed by Najma. As she was dying, she was found by her great-granddaughter Kamala Khan, who had traveled back in time. Realizing Sana would be safe due to Khan's existence, Aisha shared words with Khan, asking her to ensure Sana boarded the train, before passing away.

Aisha was a being originating from the Noor Dimension. She was exiled into the Earthly Plane, and was unable to use her powers. Some time during her exile, she met with a number of other Noor Dimension exiles who suffered the same fate as her, later forming the Clandestines. In 1942, Aisha led the Clandestines on a quest to find a pair of bangles, believing it could return them back home. After finding one at a Ten Rings temple, she later separated from the team after the British Armed Forces destroyed the temple.[3]

Reunited with Najma[]

During the Partition of India, Najma found out where Aisha was living all those years and came to her to reunite the Clandestines. She intended to get back to Noor Dimension. Even though Aisha wanted to go back home, she also refused to abandon her husband and her daughter. So, she lied to Najma, saying that she hid the bangle. She told Najma goodbye and returned home where she tried to get Hasan to pack up and leave as she knew Najma would come back. Although Hasan did not want to leave the house, he went.[1]

Legacy[]

Order of the Red Daggers Legend[]

"Your great-grandmother's story is of legend."
―Waleed to Kamala Khan[src]

Aisha knowing the danger that the Earthly Plane would be destroyed when the veil of Noor was torn apart by the Clandestines, created the Order of the Red Daggers to ensure that the Clandestines could never carry out their plan and keep the Earthly Plane safe.[4]

Marred Reputation[]

"I heard that she had a secret affair. And took off with someone."
"I heard she had many affairs and she had a secret family."
"I heard she killed a man."
―Zara, Humaira and Ruby[src]

Eventually, the events of Aisha's life were distorted and corrupted, these corruptions of the original events deeply tarnished Aisha's reputation. The event where Aisha murdered a man in self-defense was distorted so that it would appear that Aisha killed on purpose and without reason, Aisha's "secret family" was actually Kamala Khan's own family and her affairs were actually only one, her own husband.[5]

Personality[]

Upon being exiled from the Noor Dimension, Aisha became obsessed with finding a way to return to her home dimension. Influenced by her obsession and her own extradimensional nature, Aisha had little regard for human life and had difficulty socializing.

After meeting her husband, Aisha's obsession disappeared and she learned to be considerate of human life and learned to see the beauty of humanity and life on Earthly Plane. She started to have a more gentle, polite, kind and empathetic personality.

The love for her family and empathy for the Earthly Plane and its inhabitants led Aisha to realize the serious damage that would be done when Noor's veil was torn, this led Aisha to betray her former comrades just to ensure her family's safety and from Earthly Plane.
