Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an upcoming animated American web television series, based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. It is the twenty-sixth television series and the fourth animated series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series is produced by the Marvel Animation division of Marvel Studios and will be released on Disney+.^[1]

The first season is the twelfth installment of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will premiere on November 2, 2024.^[3]

Under its original title, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, the then-announced second season would have been retitled as Spider-Man: Sophomore Year.^[4]

On November 12, 2021, during Disney+ Day 2021, it was announced that an animated Spider-Man television series titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year was in development for Disney+ with Jeff Trammell attached to write and executive produce.^[1]

On July 22, 2022, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it was announced that the series would premiere in 2024. It was also announced that a sequel series titled Spider-Man: Sophomore Year was in development.^[4]

On July 14, 2023, it was announced that Japanese animation studio Polygon Pictures would be producing the animation for the series and that the series would be animated using the latest CG technology.^[7]

On October 6, 2023, it was revealed that the series was scheduled to premiere on November 2, 2024.^[3]

On December 11, 2023, it was announced that the series had been retitled from Spider-Man: Freshman Year to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.^[8]

On June 14, 2024, Screen Rant reported that Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg would be composing the score for the series.^[2]
