The tire iron is a weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[]

A one-handed blunt melee weapon once used for loosening nuts from car tires, now heavily rusted from age and made into a weapon in the post-War wasteland. It deals the third-lowest amount of critical hit damage along with the pool cue and has the third-lowest caps value of all blunt melee weapons along with the dress cane.

Special attack[]

The tire iron has a special Lights Out attack that does 125% damage in V.A.T.S. at the cost of 8 more action points (requires a Melee skill of 50).

Durability[]

The tire iron can successfully strike about 995 times from full condition before breaking.
