Los Angeles International Airport(Note) was a pre-War airport located in Los Angeles, California which appears in the Fallout TV series.
Background[]
The airport survived the Great War mostly intact and is still a monumental landmark in the desert wastelands of California as of 2296. Many aircraft crashed around the airport and its surrounding terrain during the Great War. Airplane parts have also been scavenged and/or salvaged for settlements such as Filly. At some point, a satellite owned by the Soviet Union also crashed near the airport. There was a donut shop located along a road not far from the airport.
In 2296, Lucy MacLean and Siggi Wilzig passed by the airport after escaping from Filly, en route to deliver Wilzig to Lee Moldaver at Griffith Observatory. Wilzig ultimately died nearby at the crashed Soviet satellite. Others tracking Wilzig (first the Ghoul and Wilzig's former dog CX404, then Maximus and Thaddeus of the Brotherhood of Steel) would also pass by the area later.

- The airport is also prominently shown in the ending credits of "The Target," which depicts it as housing a fleet of Vertibirds, with numerous crashed and/or grounded airplanes shown around, as well as a billboard advertising Horizon Airlines. Two corpses in power armor are also seen, along with a poster of Uncle Sam modified to advertise the Brotherhood of Steel.

- Los Angeles International Airport is a real-world airport in Los Angeles, California. The large arch-like building in the middle of the airport is based on the real-world Theme Building, built at the airport between 1957 to 1961.
- ^ (Note) No name has been given for this location in-universe, other than the audio narration for the ending credits of "The Target" identifying it as an airport, although it has been called LAX in news interviews with the film crew.[1] The airport's real-world name is currently used for this article to distinguish it as a location.
