Appearances[]
Oscar Gonzalez appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: Atlantic City update part two, America's Playground.
Behind the scenes[]
As the character Jack Hunter is himself a reference to gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, Oscar Gonzalez appears to be a reference to Oscar Zeta Acosta, a Mexican-American Chicano activist who befriended Hunter S. Thompson, and was the basis of the character Dr. Gonzo in Thompson's 1971 novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which was based on Thompson and Acosta's adventures that year. Oscar is also referred to as "Dr. G" in the holotape A lead at last. Furthermore, voice actor Joe Hernandez stated that he tried his best to channel Dr. Gonzo in his performance as Oscar.[Non-game 1]
