44F - The Last Station: Kallavan (9): This is the three hundred and thirty-fifth chapter of Volume 2 of Tower of God. It follows the battle at the Last Station, as Baam escapes and Kallavan charges after him, but he does not manage to catch Baam.
Synopsis[]
Ha Jinsung is brought to his knees, but not dead, which is a surprise to Maschenny and she compliments Jinsung for his toughness. Jinsung on the other hands asks Mascheny why she is doing this, which she responds that she wants the same things, she just thinks that there need to be more bloodshed. Mashcenny then prepares a lightning spear and attacks Jinsung.
Kallavan is standing before Evankhell and contemplates about his decision to let into his own curiosity around Baam give him the opportunity to escape. Realizing his mistake, Kallavan gets serious and prepares to attack Evankhell and Karaka. Meanwhile, Baam, Androssi, and Miseng start to escape with the Hostages. However, Kallavan tries to use Hurricane Shaker - Backlash Bomber to stop them, but is intercepted by Evankhell, who tells Kallavan to just give up. Karaka also tries to block the attack, but is pulled away by Yuri, protecting him from any harm. Kallavan is faced with three High Rankers and Evankhell question whether he can take them all on. Kallavan knowing that defeating them all would be troublesome decides to just charge them and try to bypass them.
Elsewhere, Yu Han Sung is fighting Stuah Arthur, while White is fighting Bright Sharon and several other members of Zahard's Army. In the face of all the soldiers charging him, White uses Incinerating Shooting Star, but is countered by Elpathion with support of Stuah Arthur's Lighthouses. White/Clone scolds White for using up his power, but he is pulled out by Evan Edrok's Enna Core, with them silently getting out of the conflict.
Meanwhile, the Regulars are charging up the Warp Drive in the Last Station, but Lee Xiawun threatens to blow up the Warp Drive. However, he is stopped Elaine, who uses her wolf to destroy the detonator to the bomb.
Kallavan charges past Evankhell at the heels of Baam and his friends, which causes Evankhell to use Rare Orb - Death Sentence to try and stop him. In response, Kallavan uses Atomic Explosion to try and continue his chase of Baam, but this causes an immense Shinsu explosion. However, with the help of Death Bird, Yu Han Sung manage to come to Baams side and help him, with Androssi getting them into a Warship driven by Ship Leesoo, saving them all from the rage of Kallavan.
Jinsung is still alive and Machenny decides to keep him alive, so that she can use him for bait later.

Hello, this is SIU. This is the first afterword of 2019. This week's doodle... is a late but impeccibly well-timed Team Leesoo.
Since this week's chapter was led by narration, it took a lot of time and work to edit. There are times when art becomes critical, or the dialogue becomes critical (of course, both are always important), and on those chapters I find myself spending a lot of time in unexpected places. At least now that I have some experience I can anticipate and react to it, but this week I worked with an extra day or two for editing. Anyway...
This chapter I wanted to both show Baam's escape and Kallavan's strength. Kallavan's durability is definitely unmatched. He can face off three skilled fighters and still charge forth.
The reason I pushed Team Leesoo's appearance until now was because I wanted the people Baam had such an emotional attatchment to to show up at the most decisive time. However, it isn't easy for Regulars to enter this battlefield, so to find a good timing to make it look cool... that was in my mind when I introduced Team Leesoo to the scene after much deliberation. I hope my intentions and what you felt matched.
Now will Baam and Team Leesoo escape the battlefield safely, what will become of the future of Ha Jinsung, the one who finally fell? Stay tuned for next week ^^
