Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki

With the release of Deadpool & Wolverine we'd like to remind the community of some things. Please DO NOT add info from the Fox X-Men movies when it comes to pages. Only information stated within the movie itself is eligible to be added. In addition, do not upload pirated images from cam copies. We'd also like to ask that universe pages NOT be created if the universe name has a Placeholder template on it, as that indicates it is not the intended final name. Thank you.

Nick Fury: Spies Like Us is a digital comic book inspired by the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Synopsis[]

Nick Fury roots out a double agent during the Cold War.

Plot[]

In a local club in Budapest during the Cold War, CIA Agent Nick Fury convinces a thug that he just put something in his drink, showing a tiny ball between his fingers and explaining that if his heart rate spikes it will explode. Before being asked any questions, the thug gives away the address of Verliecki. When Fury and his partner Escobar leave the club, he is stopped by Vinorovsky, who is pissed at Fury for deporting him. But Fury hits him and leaves the club anyway.

In the car and on their way to Verliecki, Fury explains that they are after twelve dossiers of undercover CIA agents, which must stay out of the hands of the Soviets. Meanwhile, Vinorovsky has alerted the local authorities and sends them after Fury.

Fury bashes the apartment door in and he and Escobar start to search the room. Suddenly Fury is strangled from behind by Verliecki, but Fury immediately throws his adversary over him. They continue to fight and Verliecki tries to escape with a suitcase but Fury is able to kick him against a bookcase and takes over the suitcase with the dossiers. Escobar then betrays Fury, holding a gun to his head, explaining that he wants to sell the dossiers to the Soviets. Fury catches him off guard and slings the suitcase to Escobar, who then fires his gun but misses. The gunshot is heard by the local police outside, but Escobar and Fury continue to fight. Ultimately, Escobar is able to get the upper hand, holding Fury once again under fire. This time Escobar gets hit from behind by Verliecki, revealing that the whole thing was staged and together they tie up Escobar. Verliecki puts a CIA ID card with Escobar's picture and with Fury's name, in Escobar's pocket while Fury quickly leaves before the authorities arrive.

Fury then heads back to the USA to meet with Dum Dum Dugan, bringing back a suitcase of cigars instead of CIA dossiers.
